Plenty of people have had positive comments about Eric's work over the years. I guess Im disppointed because I wouldve rather seen something more positive from a devs first post. Again, I dont blame him for making the comments that he did.
If he dont like seeing those types of posts then maybe he should take some of his own advice and stop reading those "boring" posts about updates.
I have to say that its rather disappointing that a dev who Ive never seen post in my 4 years around these forums finally does post and it ends up being "if you dont like our game, go play something else etc etc". These complaints arent anything new and they come from a 'small' group of LFS racers (and it is usually the same few people). Why he was compelled to post something so defensive (it seemed to me to be defensive) is beyond me. He wouldve been better off not posting at all, IMO.
I have never complained about the pace of development, and probably never will, I also dont blame the devs for getting tired of the complaints, but at least kiss me before you stick it in.
Yea, I like the fuel milage, I think she averages around 22-25 MPG also, but we bought the 4cyl version. It sure beats the 12-15 mpg that I get in my truck.
I try to double payments on any car we buy. It makes me sick to even think about paying on a car for 5 years. Since we have no mortgage payment anymore (we inherited a 25 acre piece of property with a nice home on it) I can easily swing doubling up on the car payments. I really hate sending the Ford company $600/month though. Its rather depressing sending money to a company that I hate so much. :P
Well, Papa server loves Mama server very much, and when two servers are in love they want to express this love for each other by making lots of whoopie all night long. 9 months later, out pops baby server.
Occasionally, brother and sister servers get together and make whoopie and produce what we call "Cruise Servers"
In May of last year I bought my biaatch a 2008 Mazda Tribute. She loves it. It looks a lot different than the 06 model.
My employer decided to take over my payments (they call it a "car allowance") on my 2006 Toyota Tundra SR5 as well as pay the insurance and provide a gas card, so we could afford to get her something new. Then again, we usually get her a new car every couple of years anyway.
So yes, I do have one car payment every month. I send them double each month and Im on pace to have it payed off near the end 0f 2010.
Dont let the rep trick you into maxing out your credit limit (assuming that you are going to be using that handy credit system that they have ) because you'll just end up with a bunch of crap that you'll never use. I fell for it and ended up spending about $2500 on a bunch of crap and only use(d) about half of it. Just start off with the must-haves and as you figure out all the different tools you'll need, you can just get them as you go.
If your going to be using them every day, I wouldnt go with Craftsman. Dont get me wrong, they are great tools and will relace anything that breaks, but in the long run you'll be much happier with one/any of the 3 major brands (Snap-On/Blue Point, MAC or Matco).
I use Matco. Not quite as costly (but still expensive compared to craftsman) as Snap On/Blue Point but the quality and warranty are just as good.
I think I picked Matco because they had the best looking tool truck driver. To this day it is the only time I have ever seen a woman driving a tool truck.
