i wouldn't mind a screenshot either. That livery and car shape should fit the FXR like a glove.

This thread makes me feel old. Not much, but a little bit.
I recall seeing the original TMNT (which i used to go bersek over it, i loved the turtles), some Transformers (altough it was a re-run of the original show)

And of course :

Swat Kats, which i obviously own the dvd.

The name is "In the Walls of Eryx", but sometimes i seen it labeled it "Within the Walls of Eryx", however, i own the book and it's definitely "In The Walls of Eryx".

It's a fantastic short story, first person narrative, and really immersive. Really awesome, imho.

And very diferent from his usual work, since this story is more sci-fi than horror.
Kinda unique in that way, actually.
Free game i made : In The Walls of Eryx

In The Walls of Eryx, is my brand new game, coded in Flash, and based on a short story by H.P Lovecraft.
It's a "find the exit" 2d maze type of game, but with a small twist, like the Walls of Eryx, you can't see the walls, however, in order to make the game playable, i added a "flash" feature, press a button and you can see the maze, for a second only, and to three times max, per level.
There's some cool weather effects i added, and despite the quite simple graphics, i'm pretty proud of the small effort i made. At least i finished something, from the start, planning and developing 32 mazes, plus designing the sprites, coding everything, come up with weather effects ideas, writing and recording the music, and all that.

The game is available for free at Kongregate, you can play it right here :
http://www.kongregate.com/games/tibonev/in-the-walls-of-eryx

And i'm selling the OST, it's a full 7:30 minute ambient, acoustic piece, for the bargain price of a single USD! That's right, only a single buck for over 7 minutes of music. If you want to support the development of more games and helping out a guy doing something fun (games and music), this is the way to do it. It's not a great monetary value and i don't expect to get rich from it, it's simple a small symbolic version. You'll also get a 6 page PDF, with all my notes and designs while developing the game, hand-written and scanned by myself.

If you don't feel like spending a buck, that's completely fine, you can just play the game, full, with all 32 levels, right at Kongregate. Please rate high, if you liked it. And feel free to leave comments aswell. Bug reports and all that, are also pretty welcomed.

The OST :
I decided that the game needed a little "noir" feel, so i went with a old-movie kinda feeling towards it, and this reflected in the OST, i think. All the music was designed to be soothing and short pieces, that follows the narration of the original Lovecraft's story. I used mainly my acoustic guitar, a old Crafter FX-600EQ, mic'd with a Behringer condenser mic, and my LTD eletric guitar through a POD XT. All synths are freeware VSTs. I'm not a music writer myself, i'm mostly a player, but i felt the need to do something different, special and i think i accomplished just that, i feel that the OST is as good as the rest of the game. If not better.
The music was heavily inspired by the books of Lovecraft, most specifically, The Tomb and Other Stories, from which i took the Walls of Eryx, but a small part of the music was also inspired by his Houdini story, which is every bit as awesome as Eryx. If you want to read classic horror and sci-fi stories that book is a great way to get into the genre.
Most of the music is pretty slow paced, fingered, arpegiatted and strummed chords, with few percussion elements and more harmony support than leads, but some of the pieces, have the melodies in the tradicional lead part.
Track list is :
01. The Discovery - 1:09
02. Swampy Roads - 1:18
03. The (Silent) Fate of Mankind - 1:15
04. Light Rays and Watery Ripples - 1:06
05. Gloomy Despair - 1:33
06. The Realization - 1:09
---
Total Running Time : 7:29

Buy it Here :

This is also the very first time i'm selling music, so please be gentle with a virgin dude, ok ?

Orders are being processed manually (i have never done this before), so please allow some hours to get reply, because i need to sleep, ok?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Quote from JazzOn :
@Tibone, looks preety awesome already. Nice one !

PS: i find the black on the side not so fitting; kinda tooo random, if you know what i mean.

What i find interesting is whjat you do on the headlights. Is it a logo or is it finished like this?

Thanks mate, the mirrors are blue, just like the read wing end plates, but in the render it turned out black, no idea why really, perhaps i need to re-map the model, but if you mean the dark shades of paint in the doors, those are red screened over the blue, looking quite dark, but not completely black.

The lights are normal ingame, unfortunately, i only get them to look like this on the render, the game doesn't read the small part of the skin, it is just a detail i added, nothing major. I think only a dds mod could get the lights like the render.. but at least it looks ok in the render, i guess, better than nothing..

Indeed, might be the wrong bios version, according to the Gygabyte site, you need bios version F31 for the six-core cpus, here : http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3258#

The downloads page provide a link to the bios : http://www.gigabyte.com/produc ... px?pid=3258&dl=1#bios

But beware that flashing a BIOS is a high-risk process, so, if you don't exactly how to proceed, don't do it yourself, get some high-experienced help.

If your BIOS is indeed version (you may look for some sticker on the mobo or in the manual, indicating BIOS version, most brands do that, and my Gygabyte mobo has a small sticker on the back cover indicating it.) then, i would get try the ram on another computer or get some new ram sticks.

Most likely, i will make it, and hopefully without any lagging problems, this time. I really enjoyed this championship.

Your new setup is similar to mine, except yours is better. (I'm running a quad-core cpu), anyway,

When it reboots, does it always take the same time to reboot ?
Because it can be something as silly as a bad installed cpu heat-sink/fan/thermal paste, (cpu overheating and shutting down) to a faulty component.

Have you made sure the CPu is not OC'd in the bios ?
You can always try lowering the RAM frequency, if you think it might be the problem. In my experience totally unsupported RAM frequency usually means the computer doesn't boot (mobo beeping to warn you)

Also, you can initiate windows under the "disable automatic restart on system failure" mode (if you don't see it, keep pressing f8 while the computer is doing the POST (counting memory and stuff)) and see the contents of the blue screen. If there's no blue screen, then it can be a PSU problem or CPU overheating without a doubt.

Other than that, my only sugestion is running the min needed and try to build from there (start with CPU + MOBO, it will beep asking for RAM, then, turn it off, insert 1 ram and turn it on again, check from there and so on for the rest of the components).

Hopefully that helps.

All i can say is, once you get it stable you will have a great system, haven't had a single problem with mine, running smoothly.

My new personal XRR skin. There's still a couple of aligning errors, that i'm trying to correct, but mostly they just appear on the render and not really visible in game, but i'm going to correct them, eventually.

Quote from GreyBull [CHA] :Next time tell tibone to not go on R3/R2 k?

Once you're there, also tell tibone to not overload his car with fuel for double the race distance.
This is what i get for picking the wrong set for the race..
