i didn't delete anything only just copy files of my lfs folder overwrite the files what it wanted and that's all, it isn't a big problem because i raced on it 1,5 year ago maybe, but don't know maybe i'll needed once

nope, forget mesh smooth use turbo smooth -> much better and faster, so back to the problem, if you use chamfer on the sharp edges it will be sharp with smooth, but if you not it will be round and Gustix if you will post a wire of the car maybe we can help you

you can adjust the median point / gizmo place, somewhere on the object settings panel in 3ds max it called affect pivot point, use the helper(F1) to search where can you find it

look like a mazda rx-2 but, the lights and shape of the body's side is a bit different, don't know

just create a simple a displacement/bump/normal map in zbrush from the object, then you can put it in to maya there should be a render settings for it in zbrush because most of the people use that way

yes uvw mapping is the solution of the problem, but because it looks like a cylinder and not a box, try with the cylinder setting, or make your uvw map if you can, sorry i can't help more in maya because i never use it, but that thing might be the same as in 3dsmax

i have a good old vw golf mrk I, it's a very good first car, it isn't big, so you can park it everywhere where you want, and it's very sporty(first sport hatchback ) so if you wanted to go fast it's very controlable, but because it's a very old it is unsafer then the newer cars think about a mrk III or a mark IV, but don't buy very expensive and very strong(100 bhp is more then enough) car for first car because there is a good chance to smash it
