Own a 5.0L Fox-body Thunderbird myself (1988) and I gotta say, that darn 5.0 it the slowest thing ever!
I ran 16.9xx on the 1/4 with it, almost stock just a K&N air filter.
Although I'm currently rebuilding the whole car
But the Thunderbird/Cougar version had 165HP and the Mustang had 225 if I'm not mistaking.
but the Lincoln mark ... xxx can't remember which, the one which was "rich man Mustang" did it have the Mustang 5.0 or the Thunderbird/cougar one?

Press the SHIFT button that is to the LEFT on your keyboard.
And taadaaaa, changed from russian to english and back from english to russian.
Problemo solvedo.

I think the last year with the 5.0 was 1993 because that was the last fox-body mustang ... Then with the whole new mustang they changed to the 4.6 on the mustang, cougar and thunderbird ...

First of all: They can pretty much choose their own form of the body.
And second: it's not that which seperates them.
In Europe we don't even have Top Fuel Funny Cars.
Top Fuel Funny Car = Funny car on nitromethane.
In europe we only have the Top Fuel Dragsters on nitromethane and some Top Methanol Dragsters on nitromethane.
We do not have nitromethane in Funny Cars.
The european Funny Cars are on methanol.

Muscle cars is the ones made from 196x to 1973 and came with the big engines.
Why 1973? because that year the 440 disapeared, the 426Hemi no longer existed, no more 318, no more 429, no more 428, no more boss engines, no more Mustang Boss, no more any fun car!
At 1974 noone wanted the cars with big muscles etc.
The big oil crisis started then and everyone wanted small crap cars.
1971 was the last year for Mustangs Boss version.
1973 was the last year for the big engines.
Then 1974 came the Mustang II, the small ****ed up Dodge Charger which noone knows about, no more Challenger, no more Barracuda etc.
