Saw this car at the Autosport International last week and decided to give it a go. Raced in Formula BMW Euro Series by Jack Harvey, although this design has been used on a number of other formula cars.

Can you post the skinfile of the car? I don't think you're painting all of the area properly if it's anything like your last FBM skin.

@ JazzOn - I see what you mean about the thin blue lines. I would have liked to have done it on the engine cover, but unfortunately the LFS CART logo has to go there. It doesn't look right to put the lines in the position where the Martini logo has to go.

My biggest worry was the top of the sidepods, the large white area, but I suppose the Brabham has some large white areas as well.

Used your stretching guide, was spot on.

This is what I have come up with so far. Tell me what you like/don't, what you'd like added removed and I will try to finish it tomorrow.

I've tried to keep it quite like the Brabham, but have added a few Martini logos here and there to break up the white. Still looks a bit pain to me,but it's up to you.

I'll have a go for you, I'll get it done as soon as possible.

There was quite a big slide going in turn one, but other than that the car was on the limit with a touch of oversteer. Not exactly D1GP.

Regarding the world record, everybody is using the same car on the same track. We're not comparing to a real-life lap time because no computer sim is like real-life however hard the developers try.

I thought it was probably a GT2 setup, but the gearing still isn't right for a good GT2 setup.

I tried the FXR 'Grip' set around AS3 and managed to do a 1:57.8. I race on AS3 a lot, mainly on AMG and have done 1900+ laps on it so I know the track and the car quite well. My PB using a Conedodgers set is 1:42.19.

Some constructive criticism about the set;
1. It has a 23% restrictor on it.
2. Downforce is set on max (front and rear)
3. Gearing is too long for any circuit. I didn't get into 6th gear and vmax was 134mph opposed to a usual 167mph.

Also one setup for all circuits isn't going to be very fast. South City will require a completely different setup to a fast smooth track like Aston/Kyoto.

It's a nice idea you giving something back to the forum community, but I think some of the sets could probably do with a little more attention.
