Marlbro is correct here - the rule in real racing is that overtaking may only take place once YOU have passed the start line. The GREEN FLAG message is only an indicator that racing shall start again when you pass the start line.

If you decide to make the rules concerning this different (say, you may pass as soon as GREEN FLAG is displayed on screen), you must make this absolutely clear, as it is not the usual way of restarting in real life.

Don't use SC to start the race, I know it's a Beginner Cup but you've got to expose the drivers to full-on race conditions.

I gave up my place thinking the server would be full but since some people aren't turning up and the reserves are getting in, can I have my no. 26 spot back? I may get in to a few races later on in the calendar once I've settled into the new pad...

Read through the stickies, then you need to join the reserves list, as all the competition places are full now. However, I think it is still likely you will get a race or 2, if you can come to the events. The first event is this weekend. Races are every Sunday.

EveningStar did slow down as though he expected me to take my place back, so he did nothing wrong atall. But it was me, I wasn't sure if it was legit to take the place back, considering it was my mistake... & so I didn't bother!

I think that a car spinning whilst behind the safety car must stay in the position they find themselves in, since overtaking (and therefore making your place up again) is not allowed. Charlie Dekojester Whiting will need to confirm or correct that for me.

Excluding people from a tournament designed to welcome them to the community wouldn't make sense . The number of applicants has levelled off now, after the initial flurry of interest. I'd be very suprised if 31 turned up to any event, but J@kto's point remains, he has the quality of the racing to consider as well as hard limits.

@ J@tko: you mentioned splitting the top and bottom halves of the grid. If a similar number apply next time, how about two "divisions", with the better racers in division 1 and the proper beginners in division 2?

The top 3 in division 2 would be "promoted" to division 1 at the end of the series, and the top 3 of division 1 would "graduate" the LFSBC and have something to take to the major teams and say "check out my qualification from the school of LFSBC "

Well, I did say the loss of the first chicane would be a shame, and now I've driven it, I really miss it! It will probably reduce the carnage of T1, but is it worth it? What do you guys reckon?

I feel bad now because my suggestions were made with good intentions but I feel they've just watered down what was a great layout. Even that tyre wall after the chicane - though I said it was rubbish - served a purpose in making you choose how wide to enter the next turn, and now it's gone that stretch is less interesting!!

I think the wider hairpin barrier was a no-brainer and a good change. With regards to all the rest, i think you guys did better without me!! Opinions?

Edit - can you have pit lanes in AutoX? - people WILL damage their cars in this race!
