I know that it probably is quite a small percent of racers who actually use meckanik or lfs tweak or similar programs but i would still really apprecitate a new version to be made for the latest patch. I know i am asking alot but i love tweaking cars realistically, seeing what their 1/4 miles times are etc. I would be over the moon if somone could give me the heads up if any such programs that will be completed or started soon.Thanks everyone

Hi all. I was just wondering where to get LFS tweak from. I use mecknik at the moment just to muck about with. But the version i have is very buggy and only works with what is now quite and old version of S2. Please could someone tell me where i could get lfs tweak from and what the differences are from mekanik..thanks

And even if fairer shifting wont come...i am still buyin it because i would sacrifice a couple of seconds just to drive with that wheel......i have a DFP at the mo, and i dont reli like the shifter. I cant wait until i actually have to put it in gear...with the clutch pedal not forgettin omg....will be soo good. And the wheel its self has a much greater diametre than any other wheel. 14 inch. DFP is 11 i cant wait......tri motor FF as well, omg....lol

I am pretty sure that it is quicker to flat shift. The moment in which the clutch is engaged and the revs are increasing there is extra energy being put into the car. When you engage the clutch again after shifting all this energy has got to go somwhere thus giving the car a subtle boost.

If you lift off then you are not giving the car this extra bit of energy therefore it must be slower...

These are my basic system specs. I would not say they are anything special at all but i still manage to consistantly achieve 60-100 fps (online with 4-5 other cars in view).

Any other sim i would have a hope in hell of reaching such smoothness

I would very much like to see a small feature added to the drag racing aspect of LFS. I think when you cross the line it should display your speed. It could just display your speed like it displays a split. In the middle of your screen for 1 or 2 seconds.

I dont think this would be to hard to add, but then again...what do i know about programing

And yes, i really like the fact that such a high frame rate can be achieved with less than average systems. I think FPS are extremly important to any game. After all, we dont get sudden lags in reality, so why should we in LFS...:spin:
