No mate, if you choose 500 servers, you get a Web-based interface to setup your server which is quite easy to use...

The only 'programming' so-to-speak is a simple text file (cfg) which allows you to change things....for example

They offer upgrade & new system 'packages' which have been tested for compatability with each other

May not be the PSU

Could be a number of things

1) Firstly, try resetting the BIOS by either A) Removing the battery from the Mainboard for 1 minute or B) using the Jumper on the motherboard...(your motherboard manual wil show you where it is)

2) Try removing a stick of RAM and try 1 stick on its own, then try the other stick on its own..

3) You already tried removing a Graphics Card...did u try both on their own?

4) Try reseating the CPU (Make sure you use correct amount of thermal paste between CPU and Heatsink) and check CPU fan is working correctly/clear of dust etc...

Report back after that !!

I dont want to scare you, but I had similiar problems to you (lagging, freezing etc..) with an AMD3200+ CPU system and it turned out to be a damaged CPU

Nice System ;-) - strange you can only run 2gb Ram with your PSU.. thought 700w would be ample ! - I have 770W PSU and running 4gb of exact same ram only on an Intel based system

EDIT: Have you tried updating the BIOS? Or even thought about upgrading to Vista...I remember some people having issues when trying to use 4gb before and were affected by this. - Might be worth ruling out before you spend out on a new PSU

Anyway, it seems if that card you are using does not have the number on the white strip on the back, then you will have to find another card :doh:

The security code should be 3 digits and it is on the BACK of the credit card..

it is the last 3 digits printed on the signature strip

Just so happens, I created the SR team in LFS World, Weed had removed himself from his previous team......so I just deleted weed from SR then re-added him

Fixed weed's N/A Status !!

I also lost an unlock because i am dual booting OS's and i had to unlock on both operating systems

afaik, you cannot unlock on both OS's under dual boot as you are using the same hardware - each time you restart your system and go into a different OS, LFS will lock again.

If there is a genuine reason why you have used all your unlocks then email the devs to see if there is anyhthing they can do

Where is the server running ? - Is it your own home-based server or a commercial server ?

Reason I ask is if it is a commercial one, shouldn't they have this service anyway

I was in the same position as you, did not want to replace cpu so I ended up waiting about 3 months or something to upgrade ! - sheer hell, every time I started a race, it would just crash

Now have a Nice Q6600 with 8800 GTS Graphics

I had exact same problem with an AMD 3200+

Tried everything, MEMTEST, different video card & drivers etc, different motherboard

Turned out to be a faulty CPU (Corners damaged!)
