Great idea! LFS was my reason for buying a new wheel, it might as well be the reason why i buy another 17" TFT!

Then how about an option to say that the user must have completed the tutorials offline before joining the server? That could be easily done.

I have a crap job as a Network Manager at a medium sized sixth form College in the UK.

EDIT: During the weekends i garden, wash my real life car (shame it isn't a fun to drive as the FOX! - Its a Vauxhall Corsa SXi!) and play LFS and Call of Duty UO.

It would be good if when setting up a server you could specify how many miles/kms a racer has to have completed (according to LFS World) before they can join. That way you can have a server where only people who have done say 5000 miles can join eliminating most noobish type activities (notice the word MOST!)

Likewise you could set a maximum to create a more level playing field for a newbie only server. That way new people get a chance to win races (or at least get up onto the podium) building confidence in an environment where you dont get "BLUE FLAG!!! Get out of the way!" sent to you 10 times!

Where has the banger racing server gone? I used to love that server... i could spend a lot of time trying to get a pb on a circuit (usually failing) then take out my frustration on someone upside down in a UF1000!!!

Im struggelling to get a better time on Aston Club in a formula V8. i think i have a reasonable setup but i cant get any lower than 0:59:45. Has anyone got a replay of a 0:58 or better? I would like to see where i am going wrong!

Hi all

After my first good idea was greeted warmly (http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=654) i have had another! Two in one week! I know!

It would be good to have some kind of lap analysis so you can compare with someone else where you are in terms of when you accellerate and brake and when another person does the same. Are they on the gas quicker than you out of a certain corner, where are they braking late etc...? Shown in some form of graph with track info at the bottom (like 2nd corner, start/finish etc...)

This may already exist as a third party thing but if not i would like to suggest it.

Dont know about dedicated server but the 'interactive' server mode works ok. Must be a command line switch.

I think it is something that should be considered. Make LFS a bit more realistic - i know thats the wrong word for it but i think you know what i mean.

50??!! With that hardware!!!?? I get 50 and I have a P4 2.0ghz, 1gb RAM and most importantly a Radeon 9600XT 256mb!!! He has 256mb, a celeron 2ghz and a Radeon 9000 64mb!!!

I would expect about 30fps in one player and less per car on track in average detail mode.

Maybe it would be better having a seperate forum area for replays rather than just a thread?

It is done through cookies as far as i can tell as it stays the same on my PC (firefox) but not in IE and on my laptop the icons are back to default for both.

Yeah i hope the devs introduce some new barriers - that would be..... great! I can see the autocross/banger racing scene taking off big style, the server is usually full / nearly full at the moment.

I agree. The PC is probably hammering the virtual memory as it runs out of RAM. New memory today so lets hope it has SOME effect!!
