I dont think so, unlapping is only possible if you are really faster than your "lapper" and only if lapper dont loose time with your "overtaking"

Agree with you too, but we can not forget that it is a game, and this kind of reality just will give us some frustation often. I think that if the reset is only able 20 sec after the crash, people will no use like a fast system to reset the car after a "parking" in the grass

In arcade games you are reseted being a phantom, you are transparent for the other cars, maybe it can be helpfull
