I don't want to start a browser bash but if you say the IE render engine is better as Mozilla/Opera/Safari render engine you don't understand much of html render engines (xhtml, css2)
kid: in real life you also get fast upset when someone says something to you? if so I think you can use some anger management... and for now: maybe just breath twice before making a post, it's really getting useles imho.
all userinput is appreciated, even if everyone knows there's no need to react like this.
I second the detailed cockpits... if I was Eric I would focus on better cockpits instead of track and cars. All serious racers do see the this cockpit quite alot and compared to other racesims (netKar pro!) its just a bunch of stretched pixels. Just a few more models and highres textures will help alot!
I "fixed" the problem since I don't know when Scawen can find time to update the viewer to the new codepages. I came up with just a few lines which can be uses in a .bat/.cmd (2k,XP) because for me it's just easier to have the viewer in same dir as Lfs.exe because of skins.
@echo off cd data\abc\ copy abc.abc abc.bak copy abc.viewer abc.abc cd ../.. VIEWER_S2.exe cd data\abc\ copy abc.abc abc.viewer copy abc.bak abc.abc del abc.bak cd ../..
I attached the old abc.abc if anyone didn't have it anymore. Put a copy in your data/abc/ map and name it abc.viewer
for me it's an aid to learn from my own racing. true it's not "real" but hey, it's a computergame! I like this tool, it works very well and I think without the ghostcar you have a nice application with just the path and times.
I try to get my hands around the aniMate() function which causes the strange flickering after you clicked a button. I can't really debug Javascript so it's a real pain to see what variable is doing... I tried to "stop" the moving of the picture if it's clicked but so far no luck. For me it's clear there are some changes in Opera/Firefox and maybe in IE7 that's causing this bug.
Too bad I need a 22meg install of .NET Framework to get it work. Why did you make a .MSI of it? I think it's not working on anything except Windows XP?
thanks to Kegetys for this nice addon! Maybe you should attach your application to this forum so we get the latest version? Your website might get alot of datatraffic as well.
so Motion Blur in Photoshop filters will do for me? I guess it can be nice to have with capturing movies although I think something like Adobe After Effects will do... I just don't think the current way motion blur is uses in racegames is how it should be. In DTM RaceDriver it was also making me sick; it's too much.
hey! who's the programmer here? If Scawen wants the forum posters to solve technical problems for him maybe he just assigns them to us, I start implementing DirectX 9 effects like smoke and debris
On topic: I think you can't address every possible issue with every release, there will be always small fixes around but maybe just as small fix in the R branch will do.
