IMHO You won't be able to notify lower avg FPS. The loading time - when everything (the textures...) loads - will be a bit longer.

Here is my texture for the XRR sequential shifter knob'. Unofrtunately, the "stock" LFS texture for this part of the car is very low-res. Therefore I tried to make a higher quality stuff.
I've used this picture for the lever: (btw. it is a high-end shimano xtr mtb brake lever )

In my opinion, it was the best picture for the job (I didn't find better photos of carbon discs).

As You can see, it has some real holes (ALPHA channel hackin' in ps).
