Depends on which you use more? Personally I'd have it on the PC, not keen on games such as this on the console.

Afaik, there was only ever 32 x 32, 64 players per server, never saw any servers being more than that.

Well largeish, there are some fairly big maps on cod for the team sizes imo.

Young and stupid would be the perfect way of putting it. I do silly things when I drive, but I've seen idiotic and pathetic acts by drivers my age or younger, who really shouldn't have a driving licence.

Maybe Inouva, but in recent games (MW2/Black Ops/BC2) the amount of players has been lacking to say the least, 16 v 16 on a large map is somewhat.... boring?

Maybe some people are less willing (or embarrassed?) to reveal their habits?

And in terms of tests, I passed my theory with 48/50 on multiple choice and with 44 I think on the hazard perception (it would have been more, but my instructor reckoned I had spotted the hazard, but clicked earlier than what the computer would think a learner would). I passed my practical with 2 minors, went a little wide in a tight junction and went onto a mini roundabout at the magic roundabout the same time as another car (plenty of time, but shouldn't have done it). I think sim racing/console racing definitely helped with some form of car control (namely G25/LFS).

I was a sim racer before I got my provisional, and I think it can have an effect.

I personally think Sim racing (mainly iRacing) has made me learn to be more patient and not to take extreme risks (I used to drive like a loon, admittedly, when I first drove on my own in the KA I used to have). But apon driving different (and newer) cars, I've learnt to change my habits completely.

Then again, this survey, along with many, stereotype young/minority (race gamers) as being dangerous/loonatics.

I haven't hit a vehicle, claimed on insurance, got points on my licence (though I have got pulled for going a bit quick on a roundabout - just a breathalyser and a telling off) or got the bad habit to speed any more (I think the automatic gearbox in the new car helps actually, feels more relaxing and I feel less irate). Doesn't mean I won't get any of these in the future, I reckon it might happen, but whilst it hasn't so far, I plan to keep it that way.

And I'm with Psycho with this, accelerating fast = taking a risk? I accelerate quickly up to the speed limit but it doesn't mean I'm not having my full attention as to what is going on around me.

About time they brought back 64 player maps, that's the one thing I've missed since played BF2 and BF:1942.... Roll on league matches

But don't you pay for your tax (based on a vehicle's weight) in a similar fashion to our insurance? (monthly?).... Just what I've heard anyway, more than makes up for our high insurance costs (if you get a large vehicle).

See (3) & (4)

Surprised it's passed an MOT with masked headlights, as this says different (though no specifics).

Well the races do tend to span out if you do different leagues, so you can finish one race and jump straight into another, and the dashboard will tell you what can you can or cannot run.

Failing that you can choose your own car and track and you can practise on your own (or host a server for $3 I think and race with some friends - who need the same car/track - unless you host a mixed race iirc)

I'm not a dedicated sim racer either, usually pay for a month, works out a few quid (£5 or so) and race 3-4 races a week, I do that for a month and don't play it for 2-3 months. It works out more if you pay monthly, but if you pay quarterly it would be cheaper than monthly (or pay yearly or twice yearly if you have the money and it's even cheaper), though I don't think you get iRacing credits if you don't complete a season (you have to have at least 1 race each week for 12 weeks to get them I think).

I would get it, see what it feels like and it's entirely up to you. I personally enjoy it, and the majority of racers are fair and can be helpful and are friendly.

... don't think I've ever written a post this long before heh.
