I have no idea how many Mac users there are and I have no idea how many of them are potential LFS customers but I don't think it would be that many.

However, with the new physics coming with a big patch, there will certainly be some articles on some bigger sim-racing sites turning the attention from other sim-racing fans (back) towards LFS. Add to that simply word of mouth as Dustin said and I'd say the number of potential buyers is higher there.

Yeah, they said that included in the initial S3 release will be Rockingham and most likely one more new car but more cars and tracks will be added along the way without the need to pay anything more.

So you either buy it now or wait until there's enough new content for you to warrant spending the money. If Rockingham and one new car isn't enough for you, you just don't buy it and can keep on driving on S1/S2 servers and probably still get all the non-content updates.

Drag = not so much, I can't remember seeing any S2 drag server with people on it, tbh

Autocross = once or twice a week, there is a server running autocross layouts with 5 to 10 people on it

Drift = yeah, there are several servers which are also nicely crowded most of the time
