I cant use eps. with gimp, and jpg. isn't very high res. ty anyway

You can use .eps with GIMP, you just need a plugin.
Can't remember which or from where though.

If you`re using GIMP, ghostscript is definitely the way to go

You can always use this meanwhile, if you need it quickly.
