Quote from hughesie89 :As a recent brainwashed mac user, i find myself using lfs less and less as it requires me to load bootcamp. otherwise good game

Fixed it up for you

Its my favourite car game of all time, the track choices do offer quite a bit of variety and apart from one or two cars not included in the game I find there is more than ample car choice.

First time I played it my mate showed me the XRT and I was in love

Love at first sight??? Possibly, Love it forever? Most Definitely

If no, give a reason for it, what needs to be better / fixed before your satisfied with the product?
Yep, really happy. I just bought a G25 and hadn't played for about a year I think. I'm completely and thoroughly enjoying it again. And it has been my one game to play since Tribes2.

I'm by no means quick, which makes it possible that whenever I race there is a good chance I'll get a personal best time which is rewarding. There are so many car's I've not yet driven and so many tracks I've not yet/hardly driven, that for me the fun is far from over.

The new steering wheel also forces me to relearn my driving with the shifter and clutch, which is fun in itself.

The development of this game is nice to follow and I've been around for quite a while to see all the improvements. Most of the changes I agree on and I'm amazed on what 3 people are able to build. It's good they keep to their own view of the game though.

So I'll nicely tag along for the ride to S3 and probably will enjoy that for years to come
Considering the cost, physics, size of development team I am extremely satisfied. Best computer game/sim Ive ever owned

Its not perfect as a polished 'game' but if thats your priority no.1 go play Gran Turismo.

I like both but considering LFS to this day has cost me £15 less than the original gran turismo I bought 10 yrs ago on my PS1 its an absolute bargain (wow 10 years ago!).

If youre not happy with the rate of development go play something else or make your own sim. Whats that? You cant? Not easy is it.

Keep it up Scawen
I'm satisfied. Usually when you have people to play with like S14 Drift (moooooo) and team members and such.

O/T : Backfire! You disappeared again!
Yeh, i am satisfied as well, mostly because Im always having good races / drifts with other people... and also because I didn't even try half of combos so I am not as bored of it as some ppl here.
Live for Speed, regardless of its cars/content, has the best physics I've ever seen in a racing game. And that's what really matters for me. Yes I'm satisfied with LFS. I feel like cars have suspension in LFS, and the tires really seem to be what really gives a car its grip.

Don't read below if you like GTR2 and wouldn't admit reading 'bad' comments about its physics. I don't want to be quoted for this.
When I first played GTR2, I thought I had a terrible bug in my GFX that made the cars look like concrete blocks and don't have suspension at all, making them bounce stupidly and have incredibly terrible and unrealistic physics, and the tires didn't even need to touch the track for the car start running, the wheels seemed to be glued to the car instead of being pushed to the track if you know what I mean (I had a FX5200). The cars just seemed terrible, it was not realistic at all.
When I bought a new graphics card, I confirmed it was not a bug; It was GTR2 physics. After seeing LFS, pretty much every racing simulator game seems useless for me.

(I don't want to start flaming/wars/etc, I'm just sharing with you guys the experience I had with GTR2.)

What I'd like to say is that I really appreciate LFS.
Thank you.
(not that I wouldn't like improvements .. for example I think damage is pretty important.)
I've been playing LFS since 2002 when the first ever version was released. Took me 6 years to gather 30 euros (without spending them in other things) and buy S2, while having to deal with burning bananas from some members here (and getting some of my posts ignored by them) when I registered in the LFSForum a year ago. Got it last August, and I have to tell you those were the best 30 euros I've ever spent on my life!
In every racing game I have had and played, I have tended to be heavily biased towards a favorite car, and a favorite track... especially considering the benefits of familiarity in racing.

I am a fairly casual player, and often go more then a month with out playing while I am busy with other things, so my opinion may be a little bit irrelevant, but I am not at all bothered by what some may view as a "lack" of content.

Whats here is good, and all I really need is my LX6 and blackwood/chicane route and I am a happy guy.
I was satisfied with S1, S2 took the sim in a different direction then was hoping for. So at this point my answer is no I am not satisfied with LFS despite once being a very die-hard fan.
Very Satisfied

Best £24 ever spent
I am not setisfied becouse i fell bad when i have to drive current cars and know Scirocco is comming ... and ther's still no ifo about it.
Any new patches coming?

Otherwise ... satisfied with everything than graphicks (i dont want NFS of course)
I'm pretty satisfied at the moment but if there was one thing i'd like to see, Bathurst.....
the way i see it, i paid around 42 USD for S2, and LFS is just getting better all the time (even if it does not always seem that way).

you cannot beat the return on investment that LFS gives you.

so when people get all butthurt about slow development or features they feel are missing, it is like "Dude, these improvements are FREE to you".

i think that LFS is brilliant.

Exactly my opinion too. You paid for a game that you already got your money's worth out of, and you keep getting free updates, no matter how slow they do come out.
I wouldn't have bought the game if it wasn't worth its price so i was satified with the version I bought. I don't buy a promise.

Anything new is a bonus!
