Btw if you're interested, turning off the dual core thing does stop the crashing. I also noticed no lost FPS on my system. If it crashes for you still, alt tab out, open Apples equivalent of Task Manager and assign L4D to one core.

... To play games, I run windows, so i'd use normal Task Manager. I play it on my MBP usually anyways, and it runs fine with dualcore support (in fact, there's a console command that makes it run better, by instead of disabling dual-core, makes it more aggressive).
