Quote from Blackout :A bit disappointed Hamilton didn't race in the actual race. Well if he isn't even allowed to race a bicycle how could McLaren let him embaress himself with real cars.

Somewhere to be this evening, stupid schedule clash - I think he would have been up for it otherwise. Although he could have done the nations part I suppose.

I'm always slightly disappointed by roc, I always get my hopes up too high. It's never quite the spectacle I hope it will be. A great final though. Shame they went back to the roc buggy, I was hoping for the other bike engined buggy to be used. DC put up a great show though didn't he?
Edwards finished 3rd/4th? That made my day

Quote from Thunderhead :You'll turn 360 degree? 360? You sure?

I thought you'd turn 180.

i love this joke lol

The only thing that could of made it more exciting for me is if the ground split open and the sky ripped apart, and Satan and Jesus had an epic race in TVR Cerberas while page 3 models gave me a shandy of the hand variety. If that is what you expected, then you're allowed to be dissapointed by the 6 hours of ear splitting, pant wetting orgasm of motorsport awesomeness that you witnessed.

No, it's not due to that - it's SPOTY. The Hamilton versus Hoy race was cancelled due to the ice, as was the celebrity event (was that televised? I was there and if it wasn't, it was ended after one and a bit races because they kept on damaging the cars and the circuit!).
#55 - need
If I recall correctly, the commentators said that the Hamilton - Hoy race was cancelled because of the risk of Hoy crashing due to the track conditions. They didn't want to risk Hoy getting injured.

As I said, I always get my hopes up a bit too high. The track is always disappointing and the competition rarely edge of the seat stuff, more often than not it gets a little repetitive. I usually find it a bit tedious and think to myself things like: "Would be interesting if they had a proper supermoto race or something in the interval" or "Why aren't they using those little Legends cars, they'd be perfect" or "Actually I'd rather just be watching a proper race at a proper circuit".
Lol I watched it so its not a problem but, can someone slap on a big SPOILER tag on this thread please :P. A lot of spoilers for those who didn't watch it :P.
Why was the "EA axes Need for Speed" thread merged to this thread?
I watched a little bit through freecaster but internet is so slow it would jump in and out so after a while I gave up watching it, just curious I heard the announcers say something about the stig, did he actually make an appearance?

No someone said they thought the Stig should take part, because he would surely win, and they were talking about who the Stig is.

which really pissed me of, and then someone sent an email "is the stig who you said" and they said "ofcourse..." i was not happy, i dont think it was a good idea to tell everyone who he is..... i always like not knowing who stig is, but they just ruined it....
Yeh there was a picture of him where you could see through the visor and some people identified him. I'm not that fussed to be honest, I knew the Stig changed depending what car was being driven and depending on who was available for filming. It doesn't really spoil it knowing who the main Stig is, they will just have to kill him off like they did to the old one. Bring on pink Stig.
I know of a few stigs, but whos the main one?
Are you not being a bit over dramatic? The whole concept of the stig is that its not the same driver each time... how can you do a fair comparision if the driver changes from week to week? Hence the stig, so you don't know who is driving the car.
Interesting to have a Formula D doing so well here which reminds me, why isn't there an Indy Driver when there's NASCAR drivers in RoC? Oh well, great job to Carl for making to the semi-finals
Why no Indy drivers? Each nation can only have two (for the Nations Cup) and they usually get Travis Pastrana in (he got injured and was replaced by Tanner Foust).

IndyCar has quite the international field tho
Thanks for the links
Quote from Blackout :And the yankee in the Abarth goes: OH noes, a corner?!

Looked very embarresing for him, on the other hand 200hp at those tiny fronts, he sneezes and it understeers like a derailed train.
Quote from heson :Looked very embarresing for him, on the other hand 200hp at those tiny fronts, he sneezes and it understeers like a derailed train.

But Edwards then went on to beat Schumacher in those cars

No Edwards looked pretty fast, if anyone seemed to struggle a bit it was schumacher as he went wide a couple of times.

On Edwards side if there's a car he struggled with it was the Xbow but that makes sense since he is a stock car driver

judging by how many X-Bow DC crashed, he was struggling in those too~

LOL Edwards is too cautious (even in NASCAR). But rightly so as if he crashed an X-Bow the world would be like "LAWL NASCAR RETARD LEARN TO DRIVE". He went wide in a few turns but hey, almost everyone there did at one point or another as well. Algusuari went off track and Foust spun. Edwards probably could have done better if he just went all out for it like DC

(But you just got to love the anti-NASCAR hype even if there's no basis for it)

I was just in T1 he did the noob error, he learned fast to keep it smooth.
