Why not hold two competitions? One for the Scirocco and one for the FZ5, and depending on the state of the VWS and public vote between the two winners, the final pace car is decided.

well, the safest strategy atm is to skin an FZ5.

Looking forward to seeing the entries, will you post them up here when a winner is chosen? Oh and I love the event logo, it looks fantastic.

To resolve the issue regarding what car to use, we ask of you to make the decision for what of the two cars you would make the skin: FZ5/VWS or perhaps you want to make a skin for both.

Regardless if the VWS is released before the event, we base our decision upon the creativity, uniqueness and fit for the Masters of Endurance league, rather than either type of car.

I think that it was better, either take the safest option and keep the contest only for the FZ5 or, if you wanna keep the choice of using the VWS, ask people to enter a skin for both, and without the need to be similar in both cars. After all, the shape of the FZ5 and VWS are very different, which means that a skin that looks great on one, will not necessarily look great also, when transposed to the other.

I think you misunderstand me, as your remark is precisely what I was talking about.

Ergo, we ask of those interested to make a skin for the SC for the upcoming 24h race.
1. The SC models are the FZ5 and the VWS, with the exception that the VWS may not been released yet.
2. A contestant can submit a skin for the FZ5, the VWS or both. If submitted for both, there is no need for a 1-1 skin copy for each model.
3. Contestants are completely free how to create their design, with the exception that the MoE logo has to be present as part of the skin.

...and the race logo? I presume that is a must-have as well.

I think the SC should be a fairly uncomplicated livery, but recognisable.
Hopefully this has the desired effect.

I will recreate it for FZ50 shortly, and will certainly tweak it if requested

I totally agree.
Because Safety cars are in the RL series usually high-specced cars provided by manufacturers that compete in the serie (Mercedes-AMG for the F1 Championship), I decided to follow that pattern for my skin.
Thus, I added a homemade carbon kit (not only the bodykits and skirts, but also the air inlets as well as the front lights received carbon fiber parts) that elongate the FZ5 "silhouette" (shape) and make them more refined.

The color pattern is blue, gray and black. The blue comes directly from the race logo, while the grey is meant to remind us of the stock color of that kind of car. Finally, the purpose of the black is to emphasize. Emphasize what? Simply, the blinkers that will be used during the races, and also the roof logo that I put here for broadcasting purposes.

Speaking of logos, as stated, I included the race logo on the roof, for broadcasting purposes, if you guys have an "helicopter-like" camera. The MoE logo is located on the hood, as painted on the carbon fiber, and on the trunk. The race logo is also located on the doors, next to the "Safety Car" inscription.

Here is a little preview. I will send the skin to you later this week, because I might still have some tweaking to do
