I've noticed that as time has gone by, my FPS in LFS has gradually decreased. I'm almost presenting you with a timeline of worsening FPS (:tilt:
When I first started playing, I got anything between 90 and 200 FPS, then I discovered Antialiasing and got about 60 - 70 FPS (obviously, AA will lower the FPS). Now, my FPS is down to about 30, or 50 at best.
One thing I have noticed is that all the LFS patches that are supposed to be more efficient and increase FPS seem to actually have slightly decreased my FPS.
I have defragmented my HDD (If that actually makes any difference), and it was 30% fragmented when I did it (I assume that's bad?), and after the defrag it was still 23% fragmented (that still seems bad...). My HDD is fairly full, but again, I dunno if that makes an awful lot of difference (130GB used of 170GB)
Maybe it's just because my computer's getting more knackered as the days go on (although it's only 1.5 years old :shrug.
My PC specs:
Intel Core 2 Due T7300, 2.00 GHz
2GB RAM
Nvidia Geforce 8400M GT
Any suggestions as to how I could get better performance? Thanks
