In a straight line, yes you can our perform the ABS with manual threshold braking. You beat me by 10-20 meters in an FZ5 from top speed to zero.

But cornering and breaking would be a different story me thinks. Each wheel would have different weight shift so each wheel would have a different threashold. ABS would help then? Looking forward to some more tests at that mate.
What do all the lights do? In some cars I see 5 or six lights.

In absolute limit braking, ABS will be quicker. When trail braking it will actually slow you down and can end up making you under/oversteer off line.
