L-ASCAR (Nascar style races)

Hey racers !!!!

I want to present you a NASCAR champ (with 3 categorys)

-Sprint Cup series, with GTR's (FXR - XRR and FZR with motors restrictions).
-NationWide series, with XRT.
-Las Cars series, with FO8.
additionnal : Stock Car, with XFG, or scirocco soon...(sometimes, just for fun)

L-ASCAR has almost the same rules like real NASCAR (yellow, green, white and black flags...).

WARNING : The rules are very important in this cup !!!
Nascar is very difficult, so if you're interested, READ THE "RACE" RULES !!!!

We have a FRENCH forum here : http://l-ascar.xooit.fr/index.php
We have a FRENCH/ENGLISH WEBSITE here : http://dftechno.com/l-ascar/ (updates coming soon) < the website is in work, so please wait for the final version ! (But you can register)

The website have a "race registration system".
We have too a automatic schedule (team schedule too) many race Characteristics (in your profile: number of wins, Top5, Top10, etc...)

The Sprint cup races are on saturdays. (One every 2 months~)
The Nationwide races are on mondays. (One every 2 months~)

Join L-ASCAR!!! We are a fun community (with excellent skinners, renderers, screenshoters and videomakers !)

See ya on road, Nascar freaks !!!!!
Nascar is very difficult
Turn Left. and turn left again and again
European racers prefer boring races with the same leader in one Race.

Watch the TALLADEGA 2008 resum...

27 different leaders in the race...

Nascar is awesome and many racers don't understand that...
Bahahaha!!!!
Epic!!
I dont care if there is someone leading. I want challenging corners and fights!
Lol funny
wow... well going to be interesting: We'll have LFSCAR (by Storm Racing) and LOTA XRT Stock Car Cup... and for Single Seater Champ Car Style Fans LFSCART... and now you... everything within only a couple of weeks if this here goes on... plus the 2009 NDR Kyoto 250 in March

"Kyoto 250" that name is under copyrights of NDR

Quote from Vinnylegends :Nascar is very difficult

1st of all... don't think everything's done by turning left... trying to take T3 on Kyoto in an XRT is really challening... Additionally, you cannot judge on NASCAR cause I doubt you ever sat in a Car of Tomorrow or an ASCAR or in anything similar to it trying to take corners with 200mph... hmm

Back on Topic:
One thing that may become important is the promotion... promoting 3 categories seperatly is really a heavy load I don't know but maybe you're wanting too much in a too short time
Those cars take 200mph corners because they are banked and the G and Yaw stuff pushed them into the banking. And if a Nascar was a Car of tomorrow then im amazed. All american cars are just pure crap!
only speed and no cornering!
and an F1 car can take 200mph turn as well and that a car of tomorrow!

We are 4 admins who manage races

Kyoto 250 with copyright ??? ahah

In nascar, race names are all like that so...

Kyoto, 250 miles : Kyoto250
Quote from Vegas Las :We are 4 admins who manage races

I don't speak about actual maintaining the races... I don't see the problem there, but in keeping drivers and getting an interest and also keeping it in all 3 cups

Then in that case could you please explain why the Corvette C6-R, the Corvette ZR1, Dodge Viper ACR, etc. are quite successful competition cars that are usually reasonably faster then it's contenders on race tracks?
Stock Car is just for fun.

But driving with GTR's and XRT is very different, so we have build different categorys like real Nascar.

They are certainly good cars. But they are modded and tuned by Endurance-Race Spec regulations. I am talking about standart car.

Don't forget the Ford GT40?

Vinny, no offence, but you just seem a bit ignorant... If oval racing is so easy then get in this league and prove it. I bet you wouldn't win. Take the XRT on the oval and see if it's just turn left left left. Try it with a full pack of drivers and see what happens. If you don't have anything to contribute to this discussion about this league then just don't come around here please. Bashing oval racing on a thread about an oval series for LFS is just being an idiot.
It's just gonna be confusing with two events both called 'The Kyoto 250'

Nascar = Slicks tires, no "Helps in the piloting"
Nascar = Mastery.

European races : ABS, etc, etc, etc, etc...

(sorry for that bad english)
Guys I race the top shelf classes of karting on quite big races so I know when to look around me on the track. I dont have mirrors either. And its not that im arrogant but it is the thing that you guys love Oval racing and i think it is just a waste of good real track and tarmac!

pls do not counter vinny by getting on his level... most of the racing serieses I know have the driving aids (exept servo steering) prohibited...

just do not counter on his niveu here in this thread

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not an oval nutter but I enjoy once in a while racing around the oval and if you're such a macho-wacho kartor then simply ignore this thread.

I don't love Oval racing. I enjoy it once in a while which is why I do enter some oval races every once in a while. Good job on being able to look left and right, oval racing is much more then that and at least theres passes.
My view of things, I personally like circuit racing a lot more then oval but I wouldn't go say that Oval racing requires no skill because it does require skill.
I'm interested in this. And I'll take the number 2 thanks.
You need to register too reserve this number :P
Actually on second thought, I'm gonna wait for the next season.

Well..oval racing can be thrilling and very challenging as normal road/track racing, because its not just flat out while turning left left left and few more times left. If oval racing is eazy then why dont u go and beat prolly the greatest oval racer in virtual world....Greger Huttu
even with same set, i believe u just spin out on entrance or after few laps u just heat up your tyres too much

I know, because ive been racing nascar 2003 many years before i found LFS and few times agains Huttu
That little claim of "L-ASCAR © 2008" at the bottom of a site that obviously was designed to look almost identical to the real NASCAR website is a ballsy move. Not to mention all those logos for the sponsors. I wonder what Brian France, Dan Hesse, and W.G. (Jerry) Jurgensen would say about all those obvious copyright infringements.
Xeona... just go race against Greger in general... You're likely to lose

98% win percentile on road courses... wow.
