Omg Hacked Once Again! Cost Me 24 Quid!
Wow.. Not sure if its the server i play on.. but my old account was hacked, i think it was due to me having an easy password, even after i changed the password... the person was able to use my account. After 2 week from this happening, i thought i would just buy another lfs account, so i did it.. 24 quid. And guess what... same person or another person is using my account online. What a waste of my money.. really. And btw before anyone asks.. I did a complete WINDOWS install. deleted it off then reinstall vista home prem.. brought the game after that.. and got hacked.
wow that sucks, hope that he stops hacking your accounts! friend in trouble again!
I would think you wouldn't be able to go online if your account is already in use...so how did you see someone playing with your account?
User error.

The person who did that did not change your password otherwise you could not enter the forum using your account or am I missing something?

you can see it on lfsworld

but this really sucks, just try other (game)passwords
I used diff email and very very hard password! yet he got my account..

Very annoying me as it cost me 24 quid to get another account, yeah i might of just been paid alot of money for my monthly work but still... doesn't mean i can just buy the game again and again..
haha...

funny.

some virusses send web surfing info to whoever made it (i think), try to scan your pc and what anti virus software do you use?

i dont know if this is possible but i just try to help
Quote from niall09 :haha

Your own fault. You could have just changed your passwords instead of buying a new account o/

lol he just said that it doesn't help if he changes the pass

Mate I'll give you some advice.

Try changing your security question of your E-Mail account. Then the password preferably with a various combination of letters and numbers.

Then goto the Main LFS website and request your password again. Then use a different combination password and you've got your account back.

Just write down the passwords somewhere and you should be fine
i think... and this is just a guess...

Your exiting a server, and joining another really quick, or the same one, and then LFS sends a message back saying ur account is online already... but it's not, you just didn't give the master server enough time to adjust.

just a guess.

niall09 shut up you stupid child, really, go home and learn before opening your big mouth! Have nothing good to say then buzz off!
do you use wireless lan? maybe someone in your neighborehood is able to intercept data you receive/send, that would explain how this happened after a clean install and you using another mail account. There was a quite prominent case in germany where a guy bought stuff on ebay/amazon via some elses accounts, the script kiddy lived just across the street.

edit: why is nobody reading his entier post
scan your computer for virussus
1) login with your username orange_boy_uk at www.lfs.net
2) go to your account details page http://www.lfs.net/?page=accountdetails
3) change WEBpassword and GAMEpassword
4) if possible change email address

Do not under any circumstances use very simple passwords such a your username, email address or simple sequences (abcdefgh is not a good password for example).

By changing the above details, you are making sure noone else can use your LFS account. Though you also need to apply the same security to your email account. There, do not use simple logins either. It can be too easy for people to guess.

oh and yeah make sure you have no virrii of course, as was said
Sorry to hear that mate. Seems like it could be a freind or someone in your house, or someone from your LAN/Wireless.

Run a Hijack this and post it here, could show up something nasty.
Here you have your hacker in action, I guess.

it seems so.... someone using account "orange_boy_uk" by racername "Jamie" was wrecking and recklessly driving on CTRA race 1 couple minutes ago.........

Joris, Everybody has 2 passwords:

1- Game password - allows you to unlock your license, and play online

2- Web password - allows you to login on lfs world, forum, etc. (all lfs web services.

@ orange_boy_uk,

I'm really sorry about that mate, and I won't point any more theories about the cause of that, but when/if you can solve that account problem, maybe the devs can just cancell the license you just bought and credit the money to your lfs account (you could allways use it with the hi-res skins for example) - This is just a theory though...
I'm still awaiting the Hi-jack this log. If it's clean that can pretty much rule out any sort of malicious software. Seems odd if you've re-installed Windows completely. I'm betting on a freind, unfortunatly.
