G25 mistaken by another logitech wheel: help!
Well, another annoying (and strange) problem in my "problem saga": My G25 is recognised as another wheel (in this case a Logitech Driving Force USB) everywher, even in the Profiler. This problem is pissing me off, as I look for realism when I play LFS and I have a very stubborn nature that won't allow me to accept this situation Any tips or opinions welcome.

Cheers

P.S: Sorry if the thread title has a different meaning of what I mean in the text.

So everything works as it should, it just doesn't say G25?
Try another USB port? I heard that it solved this kind of problem for someone.
install latest profiller
The hardware in the G25 is backwards compatible. It trys to detect as a G25, if fails, DFP, if fails again, DF. Try installing the latest driver bundle (Luke.S - Profiler is a ****ing waste of RAM).
does this to me sometimes, i just take it out of the usb, and put it back in
Me and a mate have had some issues with the profiler before and the best way to fix it was to uninstall the driver and the profiler, then start the installation again

Have you ever installed a driving force on that machine? They might still be on the system

That's exactly what I've done,a and it solved the problem. But now, it's happening again. And no, I haven't installed a Driving Force, although I had a Formula wheel from Logitech before the G25.
The possibilities of how this happened might be virus, or a part failing in the computer (stupid, I know, but I had a big issue after I put on a memory card and the computer kept restarting).

Exactly, the wheel is just recognised as another model.

More comments or hints at how this happened are welcome.

Cheers
Try to remove the Logitech driver and reinstall it?
