Quote from tristancliffe :Well, we'll just have to see what Ross Brawn and his team can come up with. They could end up with another dog of a car, or they could end up with the fastest car by a mile - nobody knows at the moment, and they won't really until the opening race - testing pace is rarely an indication of speed. And we've seen that in a competitive car Button can go pretty quickly, but we've yet to see him in a world class car to know what he can really do (although I don't think he's champion material, but he's a notch above most of the drivers on the grid in my opinion).

Intuitive post.
It's hard to believe that Honda could suddenly come up with a good car. If I remember right the '08 car was supposed to be a lot quicker but only thing thing that was quick with the car was how quickly it was easy to tell how slow it was. I don't really expect much from Buttocks or Shenna (that's a hard one to mispronounce :schwitz. Buttocks cracks under pressure like a glass punching bag and never really has been quick. Only Fisechallo is worse in this. Didn't Rabbihello actually beat Buttocks on last season? And Shenna, hasn't proved much either. Tbh I would have taken Rubsen and ...welll someone else than Buttocks. I would have paid literally anything for Veltlet or Robserg though!

I really expect more of a Williams '08 destiny for the new honda. Racing with other also-supposed-to-have-been-good teams like Red bull and STR. Hopefully Force India gets quicker and challenges the above mentioned on some races.

Year of Mclaren, BMW and Toyota I say with Ferrari being a tad behind. Renault will be right there with Lonso and the brazil wax guy keeps getting faster and faster, finally getting into Q1 in Brazil in quali... Or maybe not Toyota though... probably 2 and 2, 1 winners and 2 also rans, like Macca-renault 1-2 and ferrari-bmw 3-4. Haemitlon or kubica wins the wdc .

(in first race haemitlon start from 2nd grid, Heikki on pole, kimi third. massa takes heikki out in T1 and kimi wins his only race for '09)
Quote :Thank you. I don't understand when people rate him very poorly. He's proven time and time again that he's a very smooth fast driver, and he's sublime in the wet.

Because I used to consistently beat him in karts and because you lot can consistently beat me in LFS. Because he started out in a top car and couldnt hold his head above water. Because whatever team he has been in has gone backwards in his time there. Because his only win, despite having driven in some front running cars, was a fluke.

More than any other reason though: Because James Allen loved him.

ummm sad news then......
Boo!
Quote from dan926 :well maybe with all his money being thrown into it i will become an challenge ferrari and mclaren.

Well Toyota have the biggest ammount of money, do THEY challenge Ferrari or McLaren? No. Money means JACK. Actually...
Gotta love those Media Rumours eh
Quote from chanoman315 :so if you have a glamorous name you'll win? i dont think so, besides, Telmex is just the sponsor and maybe it will be named Honda Telmex team, just like Mclaren Mercedes with Santander and Ferrari with Vodafone.

You mean, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes and Scuderia Malboro Ferrari surely?
Quote from BlueFlame :You mean, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes and Scuderia Malboro Ferrari surely?

yeah that

Ah, you see, you're basicly saying 'money can't buy happiness'. So it can't amke that and get you to win races. But on the other hand there is no possible way to win races in F1 or to be trully, genuinely happy withoug a penny. Well, the latter is much easier than F1 victories, but you get my point.

True, money means something, but when Toyota have the biggest budget and they aren't even in the front of the grid most races, you kinda wonder..
to finish a race you must first finish...

if honda can get this done correct then a top half finsish isn't out of the question, then the next year... top 3 if they can get a driver of caliber to step upto the plate..
Quote from pacesetter :Doesnt matter, i dont think they will win races, (sorry for the ignorance)

Who knows. Bruno Senna is a very talented driver. Only time will tell.
Quote from 5haz :Telmex is not a very glamourous name for an F1 team, and so I think they will do poorly. :P

I will be very suprised if we see them on the grid for the first half of this year at least.

who knows, everybody had high hopes for Force India for 2008 and look at what happened. it would be cool if they changed their name, though. their name looks and sounds like a detergent brand.

Sorry didnt know bruno was driving, and you need a good car to win races,
