Adobe rejects set ups
I have installed set up webs from here, but when I try to run them the following window comes up,in each instance involving "setups"

<Adobe Reader could not open FRX.Race-S.set.(or whatever)because it is either not a supported file or because the file has been damaged.for example it was sent as an email attachtment and wasn't correctly decoded>
can a PC Guru help
Thanks
why do you open them in adobe?

put your setups in lfsfolder/data/setups(i think, can anyone confirm?)
a .set file is for LFS to load setups of a car, nothing to do with any graphics or anything like that. To use the files you need to put them in your setups folder, which is in your main lfs/data folder.

I find some lfs internal files do sometimes have the same extension as other program file types occasionally though, so other progs try and fail to open them, which is confusing, for instance, the car vehicle files which have a .vob extension try and open in VLC Media Player.

If you associate LFS.exe with the .set extension, it should be able to put the file in the correct place for you automagically.

Open the folder where you have downloaded the .set file, then right-click on the icon and click on "Properties"

On the first tab you'll find a bit going by "Opens with" followed by a Change button. Click on that button and then select Live for Speed.

If you're missing the LFS entry, then click on Browse and go to whatever directory you've installed LFS in, e.g. c:\program files\LFS\lfs.exe
