My question is, is FOX racing (public) dead? I like it so much but everyone is just doing the FBMW's and the FOXes are just collecting dust Please bring back the FOX racing public

Whel sad to see it yes but TBH I dont like the FOX im always slow with it.

But thats no reason to hate i also have part of me that likes and finds it sad to see.
But big part of me also wants to se the MRT online

Yesterday there was a FOX race for the Dutch LFS Experience and the FOX will be used a couple of time in the Formula League of Absolute Beginners.nl
Okay that's not public racing though.

The same actually happened to the MRT.

After it got released in that christmas patch it was driven on every second server. This obviously abruptly ended with the release of S2 half a year later.

We'll be using the MRT and FOX for 2 events each in the DSR Road To F1 Series, but sadly it seems the number of public servers running the FOX and MRT is almost always 0.

Fox at Blackwood was a blast, where did it all go?

FOX is used on CTRA Single Seater 2, and it's pretty fun. Okay, it is often empty, but standards are very good on it.

Perhaps launch a new server/league to promote these forgotten cars, then.

I still get in on some FOX races on Redline servers every once and a while, but yeah it seems like there is less FOX racing now. I definitely prefer the FOX over the FBMW, a little more of a challenge to drive but still provides good racing.

One thing that makes the FOX more fun to drive is "Gills Sound Pack!"
I think it was after patch Z it was really muzzeled in the sound department. The Gills sound just makes it grunt a bit more

EDIT: Also the FM fun server was set to the FOX the night before last so it might be still on it.

Hmmm the FBM looks better, revs higher, sounds better, is easy enough to drive, is a demo car. It's like the XFG of the single seaters.

that's what i mean, why does it HAVE to be easy?? Driving something difficult (what the is FOX is not..) satisfies more imho

I think CTRA should stick the FOX into SS1, and take the current shít out of it.

The FBM, imo, is no fun to drive. It feels very bland and lifeless. Whereas the FOX you kind of feel on the edge - it has that certain feeling to it that gives me a fuzzy warm feeling inside.

I had some of my best races on CTRA with the FOX, unfortunately, I can't have the same fun with the FBM

tbh i hate the fbm compared to the fox, i dont race in ss 1 for the simple reason of the fbm

In what way? For me it was just a matter of creating a new setup and accepting slower laptimes. The driving pleasure is unchanged imho.

Exactly. The fun is the car, not how fast it'll go.

Everything is just that bit more manic in the FOX vs FBM. It has a lot more grip but you have to be much more careful with the throttle. You need to be a better driver to get the best times out of the FOX vs the FBM. That's pretty much why FBM is more popular.

Replacing FBM with FOX in SS1 would be a nightmare IMO. SS1 is enough of a crash fest as it is at times. God knows what it would be like with all the extras spining going on in a FOX.

ss1 was not messier than it is today before the fox was replaced by the fbm.
