Need help with LFS_Viewer
Can anyone please help me ? i want to do a skin for myself, and i could use some help. Firt of all what can i even use the LFS_VIEWER for ? can i greate skins in there or what? Anyway i was trying to greate a skin for XRR i loaded it into the LFS_VIEWER and nothing , how can i use it ??
its a car texture viewer that you install skins in like normal lfs..
Once you`ve extracted the skin viewer somewhere (somewhere outside of your lfs folder) you use it to view skins. It means you don`t have to keep loading up the game to view your skins.

You`ll need to create your skin in an app like photoshop, GIMP, or paint.net. M$ Paint will also work, although it`s very limited in what it can do. GIMP and Paint.net are free and give excellent results if you take a bit of time to learn how to use them.

Once you have created your skin, if you save it as a .jpg, you can put it in the skin viewer`s data/skins directory. As long as it is named correctly, it will show up in the skins list when you select the car in the viewer.

The skin should follow the naming convention for LFS skins, so a new skin for the XRR should start with the 3 letter abbreviation for the car, then an underscore, then your skin name. An example would be XRR_newskin.jpg

The 3 letter abbreviations for all the cars can be found here - http://en.lfsmanual.net/wiki/Cars

There is a character limit for skin naming, so if you make the name too long it may not load into the viewer properly. Try to keep it as short as possible, while still providing as much info as possible in the skin name.

Hope that helps you a bit.

Cheers.
