true tristian

but big turbo's can work on small engines if you know what ur doing i have seen a CA18DET with a TO4Z work very well 430 HP at the wheels without nos and around 480 with nos and full boost was hit at 4000 RPM not 5100 without nos :P car was a animal had 90/10's cal tracks and total left me for dead once he got traction

They'll still take a while to spool.

Probably because the nitrous made the air going into the engine cooler. Cooler air is more dense. The mass air flow is increased. The increase in mass air flow makes the turbocharger reach the desired pressure ratio at a lower RPM. Anyway, there's more to a turbocharger then just it's physical size.

lol i know their is SOOOO many things that come into play
i mean i dont fully understand everything but some of the things i have seen are still a little confusing ie

RB30/26 DET running a GT35/40 .86 AR 850 cc injectorts 9.5 compression standed intake ARC cooler haltek and forged bottem end made 550 RWHP at the wheels on 24 psi

now another car i know if with RB26 couldnt get all the spec's but TT 9.1 compression on 14 psi made 544 RW KW's both RWD both same gear box and diff even though gear ratio's only really affects torqe readings

but what i am trying to get at is that much power differance is HUGE and making it on 10psi less is just insane allso the fact that from 6 to 10 psi its allmost noticable but from 10 to 14 its big and from 14 to 19 its even bigger gains so from 14 to 24 psi its stupid power differance.

i mean to have 179 more HP on 10 psi less from a smaller displacement engine with less stroke and 1000 more rpm is crazy

Turbochargers can also be made into homemade jet turbines.
