couldn´t drive that little beast for a long time - then i tried the easy setups from the beginner section and that helped a lot. now it´s up to a race setup from there. i like the lx 4 a little better.

peace mo
wow, thx for that setup! very stable and driveable!

the rac actually was the car i was looking most forward to when s2 alpha was released, and then i drove it. it reminded me of that problem audi had with the tt before they added that little ugly lip to it (some of you might remember). but with this setup it's like a totally different car .

i hope it will get even better with the new patch .
I spent forever one night making a setup for this on Blackwood. The car was still deadly, but I had a lot of fun, tail out on every corner, and it puts in some pretty good times.

What I hated from the outset, and I don't know if it's just a force feedback issue or generally weird geometry in the car, is the way it wants to steer left and right all by itself whilst in a straight line. I have to grip the wheel like I was hanging off a flag pole suspended 10,000ft in the air.

I surely wouldn't want to do an endurance event in it
oversteer? lol, RAC understeers like anything for me. Just... turn... IN DAMMIT! ARGH! Will work on my set...
Same most of the time Bob. Braking is stable, mid corner understeer (and lots of it) and the lag means you can hit full throttle at the apex with no wheelspin

It's the highspeed direction changes it doesn't like, which is almost certainly due to a lack of rear roll resistance.

hehe I know that feeling.. 1st it understeers like hell, and then when you think you've got the grip back and floor it.. spin! :banghead:
it certainly exaggerates the negative sides of a mid engine layout a lot
Can someone post a set which understeers please? Getting horrible snap oversteer with Bob's easy race set.
every rac setup ive seen so far (including bobs) has horrible understeer when you press down on the gas pedal (until you overload the rear tyres that is)

try those SO and KY National sets made by Norbi.. nice sets.. understeery in slow turns but best RAC sets i've seen so far
Had a try in Norbi's set still can't find any understeer but the snap oversteer seems to have gone.
i have perfect balance with my setup and im using normals up front and supers in the rear... hahahaha.
That set I posted had a bit more toe than it has now when I first got it, plus the front camber was way excessive so I dialed about 0.4 degs out of it.

Yes, it understeers a little, but I can live with that, and above 50mph its very stable.

The only times I found it would bite would be if you lock the rears underbraking by engine braking, trail braking doesnt do much favours either, or give it to much beans on corner exit.

Other than that feels really planted to the road to me, but it will bite no doubt about it if you drop your guard.

Dan,

i knew i remembered that name from somewhere. I was the one who gave you the setup. I also find it as a problem that the left front tire is burning hot. What toe-in did you change and was it 0.4 less camber on both front tires?

Yes, on both fronts, and I reduced the front toe to -.1 deg.
