I know, i have had a few leaky cars in the past though and a quick topup with just water is all i used to do (damn vauxhall waterpumps!) on a few occasions winter has arrived and i suddenly think, oh shit, that must be nearly plain water by now. I have never frozen an engine up though, although my mate did.
We had 5 reliant robins ready to be raced and we asked one of the lads to drain the water out of them as it was gonna be really cold and we werent racing for a few weeks. The day of the race meeting came and my mate went to connect the hoses back up and refill the cars with water.
The lad who had 'drained' the water... Had removed the top hose off each engine :banghead:
Two were fine, two we managed to knock the core plugs back in, one had cracked the block and was f--ked.
That is the only engine change we have ever done in 10 minutes, and in complete silence!
