hey guys i was wondering does anyone else have difficulties trying to Play cod4 online on PS3?

It has nothing to do with my connection because LFs works and GT5P works fine online.

I was just wondering does anyone else have trouble going online in cod4?

I can get onto the main online menu but when i click search playlist it comes up with "downloading game settings" and will stay like that for an hour or more.

I have emailed Infinity ward but i havnt had a response yet.

So does anyone have or did have these problems and if you did could u help me try and get past this please.

I have absolutely ZERO problems getting online with CoD4...it's CoD5 that is causing me (and hundreds others) problems..

But I had better specify that I have only ever tried the PC version

umm download the game settings then play the game? or does it try to download it everytime?

When I have a bad internetz connection it does that, also times me out in the middle of the game. No problems when the internetz are working fine though, which they should be if you have GT5P and LFS working (although since it's PS3, I assume you have it running through wifi. Might be the problem?)

I have my ethernet cable connected to my PS3

xbox 360 online is working fine.
check your ps3 settings to see if you might of set something wrong.

No idea what's wrong so, sorry I'd doubt it's a COD4 problem though, it's working fine for everyone else

This is for Ps3 you know, they use completely different servers for Ps3 Mutt107
