Build up to S2 Final---how many stages left?
S2 Alpha has been there for a while, and with this major update we are still at alpha phase, it certainly bodes well for the prospect of the game, it's getting better and yet still called an "alpha"!

Just wondering whereabout are we now, I mean will there be another patch for S2 Alpha? Or will the next step see S2 Beta?

Long live devs!

Beta will come when all the elements of the physics + gameplay have been finalised.

In that case, lets hope to never see the days of Beta, just keep giving us more stuff please!!!
With updates like this one... who cares? :eclipsee_
i dont think this game will ever be a final as such, because the dev's will just keep adding to what they have made. Eventually there will be S3, which one can only begin to imagine about.
I'm happy for it to be an on going Alpha with more and more being added indefinitely.

What's the point in drawing the line and calling an end to development? That's a bad thing surely? Who cares if it's referred to as an Alpha.

I'm more than happy for it to be released it stages, and I'm willing to hand over a few quid every now and again for them to keep developing it further.
Ever thought that the name might have changed to Live For Speed S2 Alpha

Thing is we can't hand over the quids if S2 won't end, we have a S2 license not a S2 Alpha license, don't we?

The other day I was trying to see if I could add a few more credits to my account but failed. But devs do not seem like to be needy atm
Indeed, I think there are loose ends to tie up to make the S2 features completed, like the damage model, engine temps (since the gauge is there) etc. Polish off what already there, that to me would be S2 Final. Then S3 would be the extra content again, and all the eye candy and some more new features and whatnot.

I think LFS is pretty eay candy already, but then as a movie maker, i would love to see glowing brakes, sparks from skid pads underneath the ccar, glow in the dark decals ( this was at the BTCC in 2000 ) and night racing, now how nice would those movies look

All we know is, that we are going to be hear for a long time to come. If the Devs keep this product going, then I cannot see why we will not just keep on racing
Yeah I wasn't saying what it is, or what it should be, just that as far as I'm concerned I'm happy for it, and would like it to remain in development for as long as it takes for it to become as perfect as it can be that a computer can allow.

Obviously that means wages, which I'm happy to contribute towards. I was basically saying S3 and S4+ rather than paying again for more S2 content.
Well, exactly you're right of course. My point was really just that I don't beleive they could call it "S2 Final" yet since there are things started but not completed. What a great project this is though!
