The online racing simulator
They're expecting 25-30 cms today here lol. That should be interusting .
Being quite serious, we are now only 8 weeks away from the *proposed* start of the series.

If there is going to be any major rewrite of rules, then it should have been done by now.

The calendar should be set by now.

Most even semi serious teams have most likely have planned their seasons activities..

Best, Maz
Attached with this post are the rules I have done up for the season: Please read them, and let me know anything I may have typoed, omitted, or anything you feel should be removed. Your input is welcome. Preferably please give your thoughts before this coming weekend is out.

Deko you know only 19 people actually have a CTRA International A license?

And you might want to make it clear that the hotlap actually has to be in the BF1

And please, please, not the FZR as a SC

EDIT: Rule 10.3.c, "race can" should be 2 words

EDIT 2: Rule 9.2, second part makes no sense at all - "Driven by a driver qualified"??? :P

I would believe that it woudl take an incredibly daft individual to think that a non-BF1 hotlap would satisfy. But I will amend that.

Why no FZR as SC ?

Will also fix the typo in 10.3.c.
9.2 should read "qualified driver" not what it currently says. Thanks Jackson !

It would - but there are plenty on here!!!

Well, I would say why not FXR? It's maybe 1 second a lap slower on the longest of tracks and takes a dummy (read Joe Ellis) to spin it when pushing even vaguely hard. Unlike the FZR

You seem to forget that I spun the FXR on AS7 when attempting to even drive the bloody thing.

Yes, well that's you

Even I can drive it moderately quickly without crashing

Although my tyres will be toast after 1 lap

Will it again follow the F1 calendar this year?
Right then, i'm gonna have to rethink my entry then :P (No International A license, and 8 weeks whilst doing coursework and planning for exams to set a 103% hotlap, in a BF1 (I can do it in an FOX and an FBM and an FO8, but BF1 will be tricky)

But yeah, cya next year then, if thats what i need (unless you want help commentating, or making names for the corners? :P )

Just set a time at WE1, EASY!
I'm on patch Z10 so I can't upload hotlaps, but do I only need to provide a valid hotlap with my driver application?

Me too, but i've heard that it's easy to downgrade back to Z...

And yes I think you do only need to provide a valid hotlap with your driver application

Well I'm all set then .

BTW Street if you need help getting the 103% benchmark just pm me and we'll go to some empty server to practice. I'll see if I can point crazy to this thread.
Kk, i'll downgrade, and try and set one (i'm easily within 103% on WE1 FOX, so i should be able to make in on BF1)

Also Thatguy, i don't think Crazy is racing for TC-R next year, but are you? If you are, then i'll get to work finding some form of team mate/reserve driver type (I think that i know someone who may be interested)

Also, Dekoooo, whats going on with commentary this coming season? Because i'm up for it if ever you need me there (i'm probably going to be listed as the reserve driver again)

Edit: TG, TC Lamp has a server to which i have the admin password, so we can just go there to practice if needed
I'm fine with waiting for entry reqs to be filled until two weeks before Round 1. Distance is the easy part, but hotlap may take some time.

Won't sort out commentators until after rules are sorted out completely.

Kk Dek, thanks for quick reply.

How do you work out KM's from Miles? (I've done 31k miles, and i worked it out as being around 50k km, but i'm not sure :S)

I have LFSWorld set to display km.

just remember 1 mile = about 1.6 km so if you have 31,000 miles you definitely have more than enough km.
Quote from SilverArrows77 :good luck with 2009 guys, if need help in anyway let me know and ill do what i can (though im lucky to find time to scratch my arse at moment lol).

Also is there any need for the "other" onegp forum these days?? , or should i close it down and point the www.onegp.net addy to the onegp section here?

Actually, I was wanting to use that forum, but found I couldn't do any admin things such as update the front end or stuff like that. It says I'm "admin" but I don't have any admin controls.

d
Quote from SilverArrows77 :Ah i think i know whats happened mate - you are set to admin when i check now, but u probably have missed noticing the admin link at bottom of site. When you log in you should see at bottom of page "Admistration Panel" , clicking that will take you to a new page with Tabs for administering all the different aspects of the forum. If you need help understanding the admin controls just send me a msg here (is a little confusing at first)

Yeah, I'm familiar with phpBB setup, but I still don't see the admin link at the bottom.
A link on teh bottom that says admin panel? Check.

I just had a thought. How about we make the safety car a BF1 with an intake restriction? That'd solve the problem of the safety car being too slow and a restricted BF1 with heavy TC and DF should be easy enough to handle around any track right?

or how about a FOX or FBM?
