Headlights ON all the time
Hi !

I saw that some of people have lights ON all the time. How to have it ? Before it was possible to minimalize game, and press key for lights. Now it doesnt works. So how to do it ?

Thanks for help
Probally some people who has made a mod or something. I don't know how to do that, but it's not allowed to talk about these things on forum due to forum rules and rules given about LFS itself, since it's basically somewhat similar to a "hack" , "exploit" or "mod" , witch the dev's do not support.
LOL TVE You set 'flash' in options to a gear on your shifter, or something that stays on after you press it. I got it to 3rd gear, and just put the shifter in 3rd
I dont think so...

I heard from one player that he set H- Shifter to for example 3rd gear. (He used paddles for change gears), then he set lights in game to shiter position (3rd gear shifter button), and lights were constant ON.

But i havent G25 so... its another way to set it ?

LOL DUCK- same time about the same thing
hahha, nice work

put some tape on your button or use this
It's stupid and annoying... honestly, I have no idea why people legitamatly would want such a thing, it can be very distracting when you're being chased by someone.

Should a racer with these come up behind me, after the race I'll ask him/her to turn them off. If they don't, and they're behind me, I'll just completely ignore thm and make life extremely difficult.. it's the only time I'd ever be that way..

I wouldn't care but these people often use it for the sole reason of distraction.. unless you happen to like a blue dot on your dashboard for the period of a race.

I have seen in endurance racing on TV that some cars do indeed race with their lights on, and flash them off and on again when lapping slower cars.

FWIW, you also get a constant blue dot when using the FZ50 with TC off.
It's easy enough to ignore.
I don't see much use for it, but I don't find it annoying either. Honestly, you barely see it, it's not like you're blinded by it or anything

I do flash my lights sometimes when I'm hard on the tail of someone I know, just for laugh's sake. Usually it's followed by ":-)" from the guy.
Yeah, it'd be different if there was tiered racing, such as that on Race 2, but many people use it on Race 1 and on various other "single class/car" servers, it just annoys me.. I have (forgotten his name) Xenon headlight thing..and it's like "BLARGH IMA FIRIN MAH LAZORRR" into my mirrors all the bloody time! :sadbanana

But, unfortunatly, many of the people that use it only use it for the sole purpose of putting off other users.

(BTCC and most other day leagues don't have thier headlights on, infact they don't have headlights at all in some cases.. only ones that do (that I've seen, anyway) are the Le Mans 24 hours and some random league in something else..
Normal cars have their lights on all the time too

No, they don't. Some brands of cars do, but they're still a minority.
I know, that could be possible also in Logi Profiler - keystrokes , and circle commands or sth ?

U know how ? Please

no, but some people leave them on all the time
... If you REALLY want an easy way to do it.. I believe you can program (by using Logitech Profiler) a switch button thing, so you press it once and it'll stay "held" until you press it again.

Bind one of the buttons to "g" or whatever headlights where... and have fun.

That's true. Mostly BMW's, Audi's and other cockmobiles, though

It's part of racing is'nt it, trying to distract the driver in front so that they make a mistake
Actually around here it is against the law to drive without your headlights on.
Thanks, but how to set it in Profiler. What's this option called ?

You do a new command, press record, press g, don't lift the g button and press stop recording. I think.

Yeah, lots of scandinavian countries seem to do that. Volvos are manufactured so the headlights are always on if you're driving.
Yeah it depends from the laws, in Finland the law says that we have to have our low-beams on all the time. Then some stupid people even do use fog lights on all the time but that's another story.

Tho this doesn't have anything to do racing. I don't see why you would wan't them to be on all the time but I also don't see it being that annoying.
While speaking about that, in Norway you have to have lights on at all time. But not many uses them on day however, tho the law still is there by some reason.

Thanks . It works, but when i try to type it is : gggggggggggggggg

Not possible to set it without always typing this letter ?
Then you need to click on the "set to default" option and the gggggg is gone. It isn't a big grievance to set the the command all over again, because it's stored now and all you need to do is click the name of the command to make it active again.
