The online racing simulator
A good american muscle car. Ford Mustang 1967
Quote from irishstang :Huh, the link still works for me. Yeah, it was in GT4. I need to drag my ps2 back out so I can play that again. I just wanna know what it would be like, driving with that downforce available all the time. It'd be pretty cool.

Link works again.

Strange.

Yeah, it's quite fun to drive actually.

1600cc, let's say a bit supped up to around 130-140hp (instead of the stock 115), 940 kilos, front engined, 50-50 weight balance, Independent double wishbone on the 4 wheels (stock), and supers as shoes
Would be such a good car

I second that. I don't see a reason to make it a miata with licensing. But an inspired car to add to LFS. It is used here in the USA and I'm sure in other parts of the world for spec racing and club events. I believe because of it's real world exceptance as a race vehicle and it's affordable in real life would make it a great addition to LFS.

Personally I would like to see the LFS implementation of this type of car rather then real world licensing. I think tracks like FE Club, South Citry Chicane and Blackwood would be a real treat in this type of vehicle.

Just my 2 cents.

hmmm i think id would have to be Corsa VXR

good ideas on busses too haha
Let me know if any of my images are too big, I can't tell I'm using a large monitor.

I'm sorry I can't can't decide on one car, so I'm gonna post these, and consider carefully, each of these cars I'd love to see in LFS for a very different reason, although I admit only 2 of them would be practical.

Here are my choices, in order of what I'd like to see most. (Honestly I wish I could have my two imports in the sim-not my Cobra tho, of course, it wouldn't be fair, it doesn't have weight reduction and all that, so although it makes plenty more power than the GTR's, and has racing suspension and brakes, it couldn't keep up through the twisties, it's at full weight.

Ford Focus ST

VW R32

RS6

Impractical, would never be in the sim, but how I'd love to see it;

Mustang GTR

Geiger Ford GT

And my two imports I think would rip it up with the XRT, FXO and RB4, prob smoke them actually. But it would be soooo awesome to see my two project cars in the game;
'97 VR6 GTI 278fwhp
Modds - Computer, Procharger @ 8psi, MK4 Head Gasket, FK Silverline suspension, Borla Exhaust, Limited Slip Differential, 10" Racing steering wheel, CAI, full gauge cluster, 18" Konig wheels (black), Pirelli P zero nero's 225/40/ZR18, much much more.

'95 Saab 2.0T 360fwhp
Modds - Abbot Racing Computer, T3/4 Hybrid Turbo @ 22.5psi, electronic boost controller. Full racing suspension, brembo's all around, Saab Sport Exhaust W/ custom downpipe, Limited Slip Differential, Heads ported and polished and bored out, thin head gasket to bump compression, full guage cluster, greddi BOV, much much more
I'd love to race my cars in LFS, they both have fully adjustable racing suspentions, brembo brakes, the works. IMO the Saab could work the FXR no problem, the VR6 maybe, could easily eat the XRT, RB4 and FXO.

Sorry if I posted to much, this is my kinda thread. And don't worry this isn't a willy waving thread, I just think it would be so badass if I could race my VR6 & Saab in this sim and whoop ass!!!
I know the rules are to pick one car, but it's impossible forme to pick one. And then I wanted to post my two imports cause I think they'd be a load of fun to race in LFS.
Yep, images are too big for me on 1280x1024 but it doesn't overtly matter.

What's the obsession with ricered cars lol? Most of them have aftermarket wheels or something.
You mean the cars I posted? They couldn't be further from rice... The Focus ST perhaps, but those wheels match the car so well, if it were my car I'd use them without a doubt.
The only other cars you could mean are mine, and they're not ricers, if that's what you think, you know nothing about cars.... What, I'm supposed to have a near 400whp car heavy, small wheels? Lighter, wider rims are the way to go. If you weren't referring to my cars, sorry, never mind. Lol, I've never had my cars called ricers, and if I did, I'd pull out my near 600HP Kenne Bell Cobra, simple.
Out of the 210 posts in this thread I say kudos to the 20-25 posts that actually suggest a race car for this racing simulator.
Seeing this wont happen in my lifetime ( going by the Vw)

Formula ford for sure, super close racing in Rl has to or should equate to excellent racing in LFS.

There's more chance the doodle fairy will come to my house and i awake with an extra inches than a FF making it to LFS

Sounds negative but meh

340 at the wheels/crank ?

jasus...

the head couldn't handle that let alone the gear box...
ROAD CAR
BMW M3 E30

RACING CAR
Formula Ford and NASCAR car

Couldn't name only one, I HAD to name all three

That's the race tune, the street tune is no where near that aggressive, more like 275fwhp. The bottom end is built and so is the head, a stock head couldn't handle it. The gearbox is actually stock, but it's not holding up well. The VR6 is much more solid all around, every part of the car is just stronger, hard to explain. The the VR I love too much, and it's a daily driver, that's why it's not built and tuned like the saab, hell I'm wrenching on the saab at least once per month. Just knowing where all the vaccums is a science itself.
what if we all sit down to play poker in the meantime that the Scirocco comes ? ( ladies can come too.... )
Clio sport 172 HP , 7 sec to 100. Best of fwd for me .

I'd like one of those in LFS, or a Fiat 500 Arbarth SS.
In all honesty, and Audi RS6 is the absolute perfect car IMO. If they want to go with an older car, I'd say a Ford Escort RS, or a Volkswagen Golf GTI VR6.
Mk1 VW Golf Gti...

My baby:

why not the clio R27 or something like that ?
Why do people quote images.
because its the new trend ! ...
1: Audi R8 V10.
2: Audi R10 (If we are going to have a diesel in LFS, thats the one )
Not a real car, but another of their hybrid kind of somewhat real looking things...or whatever. A RWD 390HP american style muscle car. The game has everything honestly, except that. It's not the 60's anymore, these newer one's can handle. '03/04 Cobra's have IRS, or they could base it off the N/A 385HP 2000 Cobra R, badass car, no heat, stereo, nothing, just a car for track. I'm a ford guy, so naturally, these, but if I saw a Vette I'd be just as happy, there's nothing remotely american about any of the cars. Except that with a good setup, the FZ5 feels a lot like my Cobra did when I first put the suspension on it, except my gearing, although 6 speed, is far different. Not such sporty, short gears. And I'll tell ya something else, in my experience Ford is as easy to work with as anyone when it comes to licensing. I bet they could get the same hookup they got from VW.
