Any mods that take advantage of multi-monitor set ups?
I tried a search but I didn't find much.

I found the Virtual LFS dashboard which is a great application, but are there any more of them? Personally, (Assuming it's possible, of course) I'd love to see an add-on that let's you output the image of your rearview mirrors to an additional monitor (separate or combined on split screens). Or maybe an add-on that displays your tyre or suspension wear without having the standard windows all crumpled up limiting your view while racing.

So, are there any more add-ons like Virtual LFS dashboard that take advantage of multi-monitor set ups?
A S2 license is a great mod to have.

Hi. S2 is not a mod. Little FYI.

Thanks, senn. I had seen that software before, and it's kinda cool... I guess it's time for me to go buy a 3rd monitor. I'll try and do another search, but I didn't really find anything (Save for Virtual LFS Dashboard which is fantastic). I like using the cockpit view (I know, no visibility but I love it) and I'd love to have the far away rearview mirror on my 7" monitor, instead of having to "look left" (I have the game set to show the wheel on the right side).

Keep your discrepancies to yourselves, and do something useful. At the very least put on a show that this community isn't full of jackasses. Maybe he'll buy an S2 license once he gets to enjoy the people he's around - something you're not eager for apparently.

There are none that take use of a second monitor that I know of, apart from LFS Dashboard. You can get creative and make a set of realgauges using real gauges like...

I'd recommend a setup similiar to those instead of using a second monitor. I used to have a dual monitor setup, but the second at an angle so I wouldn't have to take more than a glance. And it ended up ruining my monitor.

Enjoy.

Nah, I agree with him.

Riders, does it matter if he has S2 or not? At the end of the day he's a potential customer, and while it would be nice if he did buy S2, I'm sure that's not the most important thing in his life ATM.

Besides, join date as Feb 2009 gives him a maximum of 18 days to play on Demo, hardly the 2 years or more that would otherwise be arguable.
Hey, he asked for mods, I told him a mod that will give him 16 mores cars and a lot of tracks. Plus with multiple monitors you can look at a multiple nice cars such as FZR, BF1 and MRT which aren't available on Demo.
You're coming off as bit of an ass. Let him try the game, and give him resources he asks for. He wants applications that can present information on a separate monitor.
Ok then, here's an **** advice. Try to run LFS spectator or any other app. / way that allows you to see live races. This way you can set your second monitor on spectator / custom view that will let you see the whole track while you are racing.

It could help you see the other cars around you, what's going on in front of you etc.

Is that helpful enough, Ca18Slider?
Helpful to him, I guess.

wait... constructive information? ide belive shaddoww was s2 before i believed this.
Thanks, Cal18slider and S14_Drift. And yes, I just might buy this game, I'm really into driving sims. So, I'm sorry that people like that dude from Canada can't see that all I'm trying to do is to get familiar with the software, exploring what I can and cannot do before I just take $50 out of my wallet and buy the license. So far I'm really liking this sim and considering buying it. I also like Cal18's avatar, but this is not the time nor place to discuss that.

Those real life gauges look sick! Sadly, I don't have the knowledge to do something like that. And that LFS Spectator looks neat, almost what I needed. From what I've found so far, the only alternative I have is to buy two licenses; race on one and spectate on the other. Not good on my pocket OR on the host server, since it'll take additional bandwidth as well as an extra racer spot on the server (It does look really cool though, do a search on Youtube).

OT: Just curious, but how could a dual monitor set-up have ruined your monitor, Cal18?
I have a tendency to run high FFB settings with my G25 on a wobbly desk. It shakes side to side, and as a result the monitor started wobbling greatly, and it actually popped a cap somewhere in it. Tried re-soldering ones that were swollen. Never did work - it's stuck with a permanent blue tint.
