Strapping Young Lad is about as close as I get to 'but it's just noise?!' music.

I absolutely love shouting and screaming and huge downtuned riffs, but I really have to have either a nice groovy chugging riff or some kind of melody too (ideally both). Proper Brutal Death Metal crosses some kind of line in my head and I find it difficult to enjoy it. I really like Melodic Death Metal though, like Arch Enemy.

Chainway sound pretty good. They have some nice chugging in there.

Power-metal, folk metal and metalcore are my favouriote genres, if I had to name some.

Kiuas have been probably my favourite band for a while now. They mix parts of Folk, Black, Death and Power metal.

There is no such thing as real music.

There is only music that makes you go I AM THE GREAT CORNHOLIO! I NEED TP FOR MY BUNGHOLE! and music that does not.
^ Really like that song I've got it on a coverdisk from a magazine a while ago.

Err yes thanks for that.

I listen to Jazz, Electronic, Rock, Classical, Metal, Ambient, Drone and any genres in-between. I've played numerous instruments since about the age of 7 and studied A-Level music when everyone else was doing their GCSE's.

And Extreme Metal is music , you may not like it, but plenty of other people do
Saxon, Judas Priest, Dio, Accept, Manowar, Testament, Annihilator, Grave Digger, Wrathchild America... is pretty much as 'brootal' as it gets for me.

Can't stand bands with singers who can't sing.
Does Underoath count?
I would say that Underoath is Christan metal more than death metal hehe.

And to those who say the vids I posted upper are just incomprehensive stuff, watch this one:

Waking The Cadaver - Blood Splattered Satisfaction

Their lyrics can be interpreted in different ways since you really can't understand anything.

PS: They are also a deathcore band. Just to the extreme.

For those who dont have a clue: Deathcore is a slower music with breakdowns while deathmetal is a faster music. They both use the same kind of singing though.
When they have those guys with that prepubescent sounding scream it's even more lame.

In my opinion thats more grindcore? Its at least touching on it, and in all honesty, blurgh I hate that type of vocals constantly

Your point is very bad... It is just what people like? Got it?

I have a song from Amon Amarth which is pure death metal, some Sepulturas songs...

The music itself is not so brutal, but this bands lyrics are pretty brutal in someways, for example, I, The Witchfinder, Doom Mantia, and pretty much all the songs from the come my fanatics album.

Also if that song sounds boring to you skip to 2:15, and it's turning even more heavy on 4:50
DragonForce - Heroes of Our Time

just awesome.
@above: Awesome, yea.
But not brutal.
