This is the signup thread for the monday test race. Test is necessary to see if there's enough interest to start weekly races in a league sort of fashion. It's also for getting some feedback and to see how the server behaves.
First and foremost this is for the regular people on the #liveforspeed irc channel at irc.gamesurge.net. Edit: Signups open for everyone, accepting people in the order of the signups
The race is planned as follows:
When: Monday 2.3.09 19:30 UTC (10 minute practice starts, sharp. I guess you want to be there a bit before that )
Where: #liveforspeed (located in uk)
Cars: TBO with 3% restriction for the FXO
Track: To be randomized just prior to free practice out of a previously selected 'good ones' (tracklist below)
Free Practice: 10 minutes
Qualifying: 20 minutes
Races: 2 heats first one being a bit shorter than the second. Second heat with reversed finishing order. Whole event should be under 2 hours. Race#1 will be ~20 and Race#2 ~40 minutes.
Breaks: at least 5 min after each session except practice to quali.
This post will be updated when more info comes along

Couldn't tell:
Race 'Etiquette'
1. If you have overtaken or blocked someone unfairly, do not say sorry, give the position back instead or risk being disqualified later from the points.
2. Be patient..especially in the second race. If you're in front, you will most likely be overtaken, many times. Generally you don't want to lose too much time defending your track position in such case, the rest of the field will catch up making it more difficult. And for the fast guys starting at the back, be patient also. There's good places to overtake 'safely' at, it might not be best strategy to stick your nose in at the first opportunity and risk a collision. (all IMO of course, it's up to you)
3. Don't cut on purpose
4. Don't chat during qualifying/race(s). You can fume or say you're sorry on this thread later
That's it in a nutshell, have a good race
