i get this error message on all of them: Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the specified protocol is not supported. If you typed a URL in the Open URL dialog box, try using a different transport protocol (for example, "http:" or "rtsp:").
Download K-Lite codec pack, use the latest Winamp or WMP. Hope that helps.
on winamp they all say end of playback when it enter them

i'd try to stay away from "codec packs"... half of the ones i came across were either bundled with malware, or were actually a virus.

what WMP version you using? tried upgrading it? i didn't happen to see what format it was encoded in, but it wouldn't hurt to install the divx/xvid codec to see if that helps.
It's windows media video 9, with wma 7,8 and 9. SO divx/xvid codecs won't work.

It Should work with media player.
i think i have the latest version of WMP but i dunno wat it is.
that link above gave me an error message saying it doesnt support teh codecs w/e the hell they are
Yeah it should work without any additional codecs, so I can't really understand what could cause the problem.

Download the latest Winamp 5.55
here is the actual error message

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.
