Quote from Mustafur :That more or less came with hes age and experience, all though hes F1 experience was rather low.

Even after he won the title in 96 no one wanted him, becuase they knew he lacked raw talent.

Erm he had offers from both McLaren and Ferrari after winning the championship.

As 2nd drivers.

I think we all know that isnt entirely true though...
Quote from JJ72 :A team has two active racing drivers you know.

Yeah but back then none of the big teams were equal with both drivers.

He didn't go to Arrows to look cool he did it because atleast there he would be the main driver.

I don't think being the main driver or number 2 means so much that it would cause a driver to sign up to an infierior team!

Anyway, you were arguing that Hill went to Arrows because nobody wanted him, now you're saying he went to Arrows because he wanted to, so he could be the no1 driver.

Actually, what the heck are you chatting about?

No team big team wanted him for a No 1 driver, now being the current World champion thats extremely odd, in that case you could say they didn't really want him.

Tell me this, why did Williams get rid of him after 96?

My answer: Villenueve was far better, took it right to the last race for the title on his rookie season plus he was much younger and more motivated, so they knew the next season he was most likely to beat Hill so they got rid of hill and went for Frentzen who they thought had talent, but Frentzen absolutely sucked balls, but yet Smashed Hill in 99(allthough ill admit frentzen in 1999 was bloody good).

you couldn't say because no big team want him as no.1, he is than considered "no body wants him", that's way too far fetched.

umm williams wanted to get rid of hill because they already made the decision in 95, after a bad season they have pretty much made their mind up that frenzten would be a better bet, and they didn't change their mind after a championship win.

even Patrick Head later acknowledged it was mismanagement on their part.

And Frentzen didn't suck balls, he was up there all along in 99. Hill was dismotivated by then and was talking about quitting, which mean it isn't suprising that his performance dropped. But consider 98 in a Jordan less competitive than the 99 one, he was doing a pretty good job.

So you say Frenzens job in 97 was good?

I know, that in 95 Williams did approach Frenzen but nothing was pen to paper till well in the 96 season, now in 96 it was a team mate title race so really that didn't help hes chances that hes rookie team mate was equal and even had to let him pass in a few of the earlier races but becuase he had more experience and seemed to have more chance of the title when by the end of the season it looked otherwise.

The 99 Jordan was much more competitve then the 98 one but ill agree Damons motivation had dropped alot.
