Quote from G!NhO :Yes i really love Jeeps, but with pain in my heart () i have to admit................. THEY ARE AS RELIABLE AS SHIT

My dad has lots and lots of problems with his '02 Grand Cherokee Overland

List of things that wrong with it in chronologic order
-Steering wheel isnt really ligned up with the wheels, pulls a little to the right.
-Some bearing in the front wheel makes noise.
-Airconditioning unit broke, so it constantly blew hot air.
-Few weeks ago the Airco lost lots and lots of cooling liquid which came inside of the car and made the carpet very wet, so we have no carpet in the car now, and it also got on the windows so it looked like they were very damp(?).
-Couple of days ago the radiator broke
-AND about 1 year ago we let built in a Gas installation, and even that now starting to shut itself of because there is something wrong with it.

I dont know about the newer Jeeps but the ones we always have are

What about a Dodge Neon or something similair to that.

it's just ware and tear. normal problems, or just poor care.
Why not do like every kid and get a Civic. They're cheap, reliable and will cost you a shitload to insure!

PS: I'm 17 and own a 2000 Toyota Corolla and the insurances are far cheaper than for a Civic.

I agree on those, but they really cost bunches to insure? I for one never knew that. Probably cause they aren't my favorite cars.
I had an evaluation for a 2000 Toyota Corolla and a 2000 Honda Civic. Both had around the same milleage and the same value (Corolla was a bit more but also cleaner). Right now it costs like 500$ a year to insure my car on one sideand if I had taken the Civic, it would cost me 860$ one side.

For the Corolla it would cost 1500$ both sides full cover

And 2200$ for Civic.

2200$ for a 3000$ car!!

Ford Taurus SHO. I'd go mini cooper S
My suggestion is go on craigslist look around and see what YOU want, It is personal choice, You will find out what kinda cars are around you, then take it from there.
I'm game for really any car that I can afford. I'm looking around locally for [FOR SALE]'s and such but no luck. Thanks for you effort guys, keep em coming!
Corolla all the way, it's a car which will not break down. Mine has over 220,000 km on it and still going strong, with all the original parts. If you maintain it properly (regular oil changes and such) it will last for a long long time.
Mazda miata MX5, first generation.

You can get one with 70k miles for about 3000-4000$

Wear and tear just after 100.000 km..........

NO poor care, it always gets its maintanance but Jeeps just are NOT reliable enough.

We had an old Cherokee 4.0l inline 6, with that one the paint came all of the car and it didnt start every time.

Second Jeep was a '98 Grand Cherokee 5.9l V8, and that one had a broken front axel bearing, also the Gas installation didnt work properly (but has nothing to do with Jeep) and just before we were trading it in for our current Jeep, the automatic transmission was doing strange things. When you put it in reverse it sometimes didnt drive, so you had to put it in reverse a second time and it worked.

New one, i already said which things are wrong with it.

edit: also the startermotor was broken some months ago :\, DONT tell me that they are tough......................they just arent. :\
