Didn't find anybody else suggesting it, so I'll put forward my suggestion.
As a Safety Car driver, particularly when SCing on the oval, it is often difficult to know where the leader is when the field becomes almost evenly spread out around the track. When you have a race director that doesn't often tell you where on earth the leader is, I usually end up rolling around the track, staring hard in my mirrors to see if the next car approaching is the leader.
So surely it wouldn't be all too hard to implement a different colour on the mini map for the leading car?
