Why don't you use a similar system to the Kyoto 250 and have a series of practice sessions? 
i'd run it, but i'm running 3 already.
The main reason for the Kyoto 250/500 practices was because of the seriously majorly bad consequences of the equation
n00bs + oval = MOST EPIC FAIL EVER
That risk isn't that much of an issue in this event, and it's designed to be a relatively 'informal event'. I.e., we've dropped the usual entry requirements, we're not using car numbers... etc.
Although I would have nothing against doing few practices.

We won't be having 2 servers unless we get at least 50-odd drivers.
Which is very likely to happen if you ask me.
You already have 38 entries after one day.
If there is more then 50 drivers, you should have a pre-qualification the week before on two different servers. Then manually put the times together. The best 32 go on server 1 which would be broadcasted and then the remaining drivers go on server 2.
