I think the correct pronunciation is "d'eeoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood"
Looks like LFS, all you need is a nice red & white barrier in there LOL
Quote from Dajmin :It's not likely to get a PC release either. The control method means they'd need to either take advantage of the limited number of PC owners with a dual analogue pad or they'd have to totally rewrite it for mouse/keyboard.

I've stuck in some bids for copies on eBay but I don't think I'm likely to get it for £4 I'll grab it right away some point next week after I've been paid

More people have PC controllers with dual analogue sticks on them then you'd think.

People have them for playing emulators, or stuff like Pro Evo.

And as the 360 controller works on a PC, even more people with access to a PC with a gamepad.

More console based games, especially 360 ones, should be ported to PC. Just not as bad as the failure that was the port of TDU...
Right, I've been playing this for a couple of days now and I'm enjoying it a lot. I'm not exactly a fan of the way of talking, but they don't take themselves too seriously, which is always a good thing.

I've recorded some decent footage and I'm progressing through the career mode at a respectable rate (I think) although I do keep getting lost and wishing I could figure out more tricks rather than just randomly bashing the sticks and hoping for the best
Next step is to take it online and see how badly whipped I get...
How ya getting on Dajmin?, I finally went "pro" after a fashion, nearly smashed the controller against the wall on the "nollie 360 flip to hubba" stage, man, that was a PIG.

I am lovin it, it's a great game
Not too bad at all. It's a good title to pick up and blast round when I don't have long enough to get into something else.
Having a bit of trouble with some of the races though - the AI is seriously lacking in the 'I' part and would rather take out the entire field than turn slightly. Rings a few bells that

I finally mastered the Christ Air, but there's just not enough spots on the map where you can pull it off without breaking your head. Still not dared to go online though. I'm a bit worried about getting too old for video games

You should give it a try really! When you're in some pool/vert with a few other guys, and you're getting air with someone right next to you, pulling tricks, land again, catch some air on the other side... basically having a skate jam together... it's really a blast!
Online is.............interesting LOL
Yea u guess i have to try online again, last time i got into some laggy slowmotion server, mode was best trick, but i'd prefer skate jam in vert or pool more.
Necro post bump!!!!.

Just brought Skate 2 a week ago, and I managed to finally complete Skate., did the lot, and got the complete 1000GS!!!!!.

At first, I didn't like Skate 2, but on further playing, I am loving it, the new additions to the gameplay, new tricks, being able to get off the board etc, really flesh the game out.

Also love the new Hall Of Meat mode, you can have a lotta fun with it, the game is so damn addictive and frustrating, it really is a "one more go" type of game.

I have found it a bit easier than the first one, although there are a couple of films that had my teeth gnashing and the controller almost flying out of my hand!!!.

Here are a couple of films I made

I love it!

They made a few things too easy in Skate 2 (more THPS style, like it sometimes "magically" connects you to a rail when you slightly miss it, etc). Regarding those things, i've liked the original Skate better.

But the pros outweigh the cons IMO. I'm still "collecting" movie clips to make a little video. I have tons of clips already, but will probably keep collecting them until i finally get bored of the game... then select the best stuff, and make the video. I'm not a fan of arcade tricks (for fun it's great however) and always try to keep it realistic.

Best DLC to get is probably the filmer pack and the "classic pack" or whatever it is called (the one including the community center from the first Skate).
I was a little peeved the filmer pack is 600 points, it should have really been included with it, or at least a bit cheaper, I have resisted it so far......

I got the other two packs, the fantasy factory isnt that good, but the OG pack is fun
Yeah well, of course it should have been included, but things like this will only get worse... if they see potential money to be made... why not make it DLC?

However, the filmer pack is absolutely worth the money. It makes the videos look so much better. I've wasted too much time making videos since i've got it. If you don't really care for that part of the game, ignore it... but if you are into the video making part, you'll want to have it, trust me.

Here's a few of mine:

Sometimes the camerawork can be a PITA... you think everything is fine, but after uploading, you'll notice that the camera eventually bumped into something, which messed up the whole camerawork...

Nice vids, I do like making them, maybe I'll decide to pick the filmer pack up......
i totally agree, i only have the skate 2 demo but i do like it very much. waaay better than tony hawks, this one has a bit of realism in it
im getting skate 2 today are you guys on the 360 or the ps3?

double post :/
i just got skate 2 like 8 hours ago and played it non stop its really fun but it gets annoying when you have to do something they tell you to do and you can't do it...
That's what you have the trick bible for. You can go and check out every trick and see how it's done. The rest is practice.
Yeah, practice, practice, I spent nearly an hour on the alien manual shop!!!!
Another little tip:

If you are having problems with doing the fliptricks with the analogue stick, try looking at it while you're doing the motion... this way you'll see what you're doing wrong. Look at it and make sure you do the correct movement, if you got that far, you'll eventually get a feeling for it and can do the trick without looking. Helped me a lot in the original skate, and still works with this one.
