Motec telemetry for LFS
A good idea can be MoTeC in LFS like in rFactor or GTR 2.

I use it and it works very fine in rFactor .
Don't we have the replay analyser/comparer already built in LFS World ? It has some telemetric info, but I never used it tbh
What is Motec telemetry? Is that something LFS needs?
And if we allready has it, care to tell what it actually does?

I don't know but maybe LFS have got it already:

LFS inGame

-Clutch
-Tire temperature
-Fuel %
-Pit setups (Wings and Tires can set a value a bit)
-Air Restriction Controls

-G-Force meter
- Other? MoTec?
LFS World has got

- replay analyser
- time attack analyser
- time vs time analyser
- Other? Motec?

And what is telemetry?
Telemetry is when data from car sensors is sent back to the pits live.
Datalogging is when data from the car is recorded on the car and 'downloaded' when it's back in the pits.

MoTeC make datalogging/telemetry equipment and software, and there is a chance that it could be used with LFS data - i.e. traces from a game in a professional analysis software package.
So it's like a "live show" of how the car's current state is? How the engine goe, tyres, sysbension and other stuffs aswell?
That is a bit too much I think, with the good amount of stuff we can do on the cars allready, there really is no need for it, I mean it's a game, we don't need to analazy everything to gain those 0.001 seconds. Or..well people use the game differently, but at least for my and many other pick-up racers I don't see the need for it.
You must have used the RAF Analyser before, right? Well, MoTeC is the same, just a bit more polished and with some fancier features. You can see plots of wheel speeds, or suspension travel, of ride height, or steering, of throttle application... And it's very useful in leagues or for hotlappers looking for thousands of a second.
I have never used that no Neither have I ever created one single setup (appart from roll-setups or jump setups) . Basically the only thing I do is to tweak the gear ratios and tyres. About hotlapping and such I do not know, only that for me a good lap is when I can be withing 1 sec of the WR, sadly I fail most of the time.

Neverthless, for the people that does all this, like setup makers.. sure, maybe they could use it, but if LFSW. allready has it to some part, do we really need more?
Blimey, you've been here for 5 years and not made a setup, not used an analyser, and are happy to be within 1 second of a WR? I'm rarely happy in LFS unless I'm using my own setup, have checked I'm not losing time stupidly on an analyser, and am within half a second of a WR.

Maybe you should try using on - you'll learn about vehicle dynamics, you'll learn about driver dynamics, you'll learn about setups and how tweaking them changes what the car does, and ultimately you go faster.

And if you're not worried about going faster then why play racing games. The be all and end all of motorsport is to be faster than everyone else, and faster than you were last time. If you stop thinking this then maybe golf is a better hobby

Well, I just am one of these hothead idiots that canot focus on a task more than some minutes before I start thinking of woman meat, seriously...

Well, but..well why the hell do I allways starts the sentences with "well", maybe I try to get myself sounding more mature and knowing if I use "well" so much..well **** me, not litterary of course, just the way I write.. and why the eff do I start talking about this shit, why do I continue? Baaah, my head is failing on me..

Neverthless, well happy - happy is maybe not the right word, I of course want to be faster than everyone else, but I know my skills and equiptment are not up for it. Atm my wheel is so bugged it's like playing with keyboard, turn a little on the wheel and it turns little or nothing, turn alittle more and it goes full lock lol, cencor is messed up and I do not know how to fix that.. When that is said, at my best times I were only 0.05 secs behind the WR on SO1 with FOX car, and 0.15sec behind the WR on Fe6 with RB4 and almost the same as XRT on same track.. Sadly porn has taken over my interest, and lack of skills, and propper wheel ruins it all.

Yeah, that's one of the abilities I have. I know when I fukced it up at least The other parts I canot defend tho..
The best way to work with MoTeC interpreter for LFS is to convert a .raf file to a .ld file.
Actually it is possible, but to activate the pro-mode into this file (in order to enjoy the great features of MoTeC interpreter :razz, you have to hack this file structure.
I contacted the Rfactor motec plugin creator and he told me that since the rights about this file structure are not clear (officials from Motec corp don't want to talk about it), he won't give the file structure and Motec use in pro mode for LFS should be home-made for personal use only.

I alredy thinking that scawen should do a file asociation for MoTeC because MoTeC is very useful for see all the physics of the car.
