Cockroaches inmortal!?
They just have life insurance.
my worst dream has come true! run!!!
#4 - 5haz
Just do what they do in spain, take a blowtorch to them then use a leafblower to sweep them into a bag.
When i was in India i bought a can of 'HIT' It's for killing flys/mossies but it's more like a can of chemical warfare. Saddam would have killed twice as many Kurds with this stuff
A couple of squirts in the bathroom, shut he door for 5 mins and the cockroaches were history. I dread to think what is in that stuff.

(the cockroaches in that vid were tiny! I've never seen anything like the ones i saw in Inda, they were absolutely massive)

The question is... what would have happend to you if you stayed in the bathroom aswell for those five minutes? Sounds like some nasty stuff!

I've no idea. It really smelled bad, and the slightest hint of the vapours really get to your throat.
I doubt very much it's the sort of stuff that would be legal in the EU. But the words Health and Safety don't exist in India
Quote from Chrisuu01 :I saw this mythbuster video and I was like what they didnt die!?

Most species have developed evolutionary responses to their environments. So if that kind of cockroach comes from an environment subject to periodic floodings, that is not particularly surprising.

I could provide at least two examples of aquatic beings which are able to survive for extended periods (days to weeks/months) outside water with little or no harm, and both are higher placed in the evolutionary ladder than the cockroach

I wish I could buy some of that stuff. I don't care how dangerous for my own health it is, I want some. My partment is infested with cochroaches, and I called the exterminator atleast 9000 times, those bastards still come crawling. Raid is about as effective as trying to solve it with diplomacy.

Beauty of living in a building instead of a house, I guess.
What ever happened to the ancient art of stepping on them?
Quote from Kalev EST :What ever happened to the ancient art of stepping on them?

They crunchy and sound scary.
Quote from Kalev EST :What ever happened to the ancient art of stepping on them?

As i spent most of my time in India in bare feet, i wasn't really up for that method

I did try stepping on one whilst wearing some flimsy flip flops. I removed my foot and it scuttled on its merry way
Quote from S14 DRIFT :They crunchy and sound scary.

and the fact that for every you crush with your feet, there is another 1000 of them hiding near by.
Quote from Kalev EST :What ever happened to the ancient art of stepping on them?

Ever watching Men In Black, the Will Smith & Tommy Lee Jones movie? THAT is why you don't step on them
I wish I could survive nuclear wars like them, that way, I would see the end.

No. I put a disclaimer so it's not like you didn't have a fair warning. It was the very picture that's been shown on Top Gear during the news section whenever Clarkson is like "I've been on the internet this week and I've found this...."
