You're probably right. We do shitty things to each other but (and TH84 you can stfu right now) I really can't be bothered with it anymore. The easiest way for me to deal with it is to forget about it and her. I try to be nice but I'm an arsehole (as I'm constantly reminded thanks) to most people except for a select few that I trust with my life. (That'd be my Dad and a couple of friends)

Maybe next year I will try.

There's a 15 year old girl. She was kidnapped and kept for some ludicrous about of time (months) only 8 miles from her house. She's a child, defined by law yes. She's so young and innocent etc.

There's a 15 year old kid. He accidentally kills his friend practising wrestling moves. He's tried and convicted as an adult. He got life without parole.

It's all about maturity. It's not fair or right to call a 17 year old, whom in (at least) RL is just as mature as any 30 year old, a kid just because of age. Call me what you want, your opinion of me is already set in stone and I don't care that much to bother going on about it, especially after today.

I agree, age doesnt mean a thing. I've met some very mature 17 yr olds, but you are not one of them. Granted, I havent met you and can only go by what I see here. I have never called you immature due to your age.

i normally dont buy anything, my mother gets few kisses and the rest is the work of my father hehe.

tbh i like fathers day WAY more then mothers day (in germany fathers day mostly is just an excuse for partys with LOTS of alcohol )

I dont think you ever have to buy Mothers anything. A hug, a kiss and showing a little appreciation goes a long way.

Lastly, when a mother does her job, chances are she gets little to no recognition (let alone raises or bonuses), and if she's doing her job "right," chances are also excellent that at some point she will hear with distressing frequency, "I hate you!!! You don't understand!! I WISH YOU'D LEAVE ME ALONE!" If you heard that coming from your boss after a successful ad campaign, you'd leave your job, right? And if not, maybe you are strong enough to be a parent after all and should go get knocked up posthaste.
Whether everyone agrees with me or not (and I realize there are some who will not), the stakes are higher and the consequences of failure are heavier for this job than most any other endeavor, with the grand irony being that because we are human, we are destined to fail on so many levels and with heart-rending frequency.
