wtf, don't they pay drivers in BTCC, over here you can get over 1 million plus by being in a privitely owned V8 Supercar team.
Factory teams do, but most (all?) private teams don't

BTCC must have gotten to shit compared to when I last watched it lmao.

Used to show it all the time over here in the late 90s.
BTCC is probably the best its been for a long time at the moment, 2007, 2008 were great. Only the stupid people who cant take the fact that things are changing and still want super tourers wouldnt find it good. This year there are so many competitive drivers there in very competitive cars.

A couple of drivers i cant wait to see back out there are Paul O'neill and Dan Eaves and maybe James Thompson (if he can get a deal together) and Dave Pinkney in the Team Dynamics Civic.

Is it still bumper cars like it was 10 years ago, i remember one race were every lap of the race someone got span out, it was comedy
Sometimes it can be just blatant panel bashing but sometimes you actually get a good race. Like at Thruxton where you'd have to be just stupid to hit anyone is where you always get a good race.
Media day tomorrow and ive just heard that Alan Morrison is gonna be announced as the 2nd driver of one of the AON Ford Focuses, which leaves me wondering just who's gonna fill that 3rd seat
actually its got a new Lola engine in it for this year, which has given it 20bhp extra which should make quite a difference to last few years

Tomorrow apparently, this privateer team will be live streaming action from their garage at the next BTCC test session at Brands Hatch.

All i can say is good Luck to MacMillan Not just cause he was in saxmax but pretty nice to see someone whos only raced a car for 4 years and come straight into Btcc.
Marvelous, thought we were going to be spared Plato's enormous ego this year.......
runnning in a daewoo might knock him down a peg or 2 though lol. also what is quite funny ,being his main rival for the last few years has been vauxhall, is that the lacettis use a red top(if you dont know its a quite famous engine in vauxhall circles) only with a black trim
They stopped making the 'red top' in the 90's.... That's just what Vauxhall fans call any performance Vauxhall engine..
Heres something I've done for the next round:

well not nessaserily, it is very closly related to the 'red top' and fyi 'fed top' is not just a general term it is quite a specific term

Well, clearly it isn't a specific term, red top isn't an enginerical name or number, it's because Vauxhall performance engines had a notorious red rocker cover. It isn't specific at all.

1.6 1.8 or 2.0 L all called red tops, it's not specific at all.
Quote from gezmoor :There was a pretty good slide save in one of the Carrera races too.. I can't find a clip of it though.

Who was driving? I might be able to find one, I only saw a bit of that race on Sunday
Anyone know where I can watch the full coverage of the BTCC at Brands? I missed it
you can get the BTCC races by going to www.itv.com/btcc then click the "Catch up with itv player" thing

Huge respect for Plato, I don't know about the quality of his machinery but I am impressed!
Only watched the highlights but it seems like typical BTCC stuff. Matt Neal annoys me with his "oh he's defending, never mind I'll just nerf him instead" approach. I thought the way Collard took the lead in race 2 was dirty as hell too, it's supposed to be an advantage to be in front.........but it seems that being in front just means you're vulnerable to a shunt that you can do nothing about and is totally within the rules.
