FFB setting for momo racing (black)
I've searched the forums for these, but there are tons of threads about it, could you point me to a good one?

Thanks!

I have the momo racing wheel too and sometimes the FF cuts in and out on some rumble strips. Weird.

Hey deggis, where do you find these settings:

"Spring Effect Strength" to 0%
"Damper Effect Strength" to 0%
And then check "Enable Centering Spring in Force Feedback Games" but set the slider at 0%

in the game?
or.... just go to start-control panel - game controllers and go into the properties of the momo racing... and there it is

Ok thanks. I'll play around with that. Yes I have it installed.

Is there a problem with the rumble strip FF in this game, because I get it with some and not with others, especially high speed. And sometimes I can see the cockpit vibrate up and down and I get nothing in FF. ??
Some kerbs are bumpy, others are smooth. Thus some kerbs have FFB reactions others don't. No canned 'Kerb' effects here

The vertical motion may or may not have FFB felt at the same time. It depends what's causing the up/down movement. You might want to be more specific.
Well, especially if you come from rFactor/GTL/GTR where you feel lots of bumps in the force feedback LFS' forces might feel very dull. But the fact is that LFS tracks just aren't very bumpy, quite flat actually.

But I don't understand why the cockpit still shakes a lot (btw, check your so called "G force simulation" sliders in the Options->View menu) when you don't see the car actually "jump" over the bumps in replays.

Btw, there's one trick to improve FF with a easy file tweak. You'll find a cfg.txt file in the main LFS folder, open it and find a "FF Steps" line and change the value to 256. This changes the "resolution" of FF, it's not a big difference but I'd think the curbs and bumps feel more accurate. I started to use this tweak since yesterday.

ps. I wanted to make wheel FAQ thread some time ago but then I forgot it... there's still no that kind of thread here so maybe I should do it finally? The LFS manual or Wiki probably has all the needed info but AFAIK those doesn't include any easy & short step-by-step instructions or the recommended profiler settings etc.
